Abstract
Bahan ajar yang digunakan guru belum berdasarkan pada kondisi wilayah
lokal yang rawan bencana tsunami sehingga belum efektif dalam
meningkatkan literasi bencana tsunami peserta didik di SMAN 15
Pandeglang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar
untuk meningkatkan literasi bencana tsunami peserta didik di SMAN 15
Pandeglang. Penelitian ini menggunakan mix method. Penelitian eksperimen
pola pretest dan posttest control group design digunakan untuk mengetahui
efektifitas bahan ajar dengan pendekatan ASSURE dibandingkan dengan
bahan ajar konvensional. Populasi yang digunakan adalah kelas XI di SMAN
15 Pandeglang, Sampelnya adalah kelas XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen
dan kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas kontrol.Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini
adalah bahan ajar dengan pendekatan ASSURE dan variable terikatnya
adalah literasi bencana tsunami peserta didik. Data literasi bencana tsunami
diperoleh melalui angket. Analisis data menggunakan uji hipotesis mann
whitney u test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat literasi
bencana tsunami peserta didik sebesar 44,49 atau berada di level sedang.
Pengembangan bahan ajar dengan pendekatan ASSURE melalui enam
tahapan, yaitu 1) Analyze learners Characteristics, 2) State performance
objectives, 3) Select methods, media and materials, 4) Utilize methods, media
and materials, 5) Require learners participation, 6) Evaluate and revise.
Terdapat peningkatan literasi bencana tsunami setelah menggunakan bahan
ajar yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan ASSURE pada peserta dididk di
SMAN 15 Pandeglang. Dengan demikian pembelajaran dengan
menggunakan bahan ajar dengan pendekatan ASSURE dapat meningkatan
literasi bencana tsunami pada peserta didik. Bahan ajar dengan pendekatan
ASSURE dapat digunakan oleh guru dalam meningkatkan literasi bencana
tsunami peserta didik di daerah rawan bencana tsunami. The teaching materials used by teachers are not based on the conditions of
local areas that are prone to tsunamis, so they are not yet effective in
increasing the literacy of students in SMAN 15 Pandeglang tsunami disaster.
The aim of this research is to develop teaching materials to increase the
literacy of students in SMAN 15 Pandeglang in the tsunami disaster. This
study uses a mix method. Experimental research patterns of pretest and
posttest control group design were used to determine the effectiveness of
teaching materials with the ASSURE approach compared to conventional
teaching materials. The population used was class XI at SMAN 15
Pandeglang. The sample was class XI IPS 2 as the experimental class and
class XI IPS 1 as the control class. The independent variable in this study was
teaching materials with the ASSURE approach and the dependent variable
was students' tsunami disaster literacy. Tsunami disaster literacy data was
obtained through a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Mann Whitney u test
hypothesis. The results of this study indicate that the literacy level of the
students in the tsunami disaster was 44.49 or at a moderate level. The
development of teaching materials with the ASSURE approach goes through
six stages, namely 1) Analyze learners Characteristics, 2) State performance
objectives, 3) Select methods, media and materials, 4) Utilize methods, media
and materials, 5) Require learners participation, 6) Evaluate and revise. There
was an increase in tsunami disaster literacy after using teaching materials
developed with the ASSURE approach to students at SMAN 15 Pandeglang.
Thus learning using teaching materials with the ASSURE approach can
increase tsunami disaster literacy in students. Teaching materials with the
ASSURE approach can be used by teachers in increasing students' tsunami
disaster literacy in tsunami-prone areas.
