Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari permasalahan pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial siswa kelas V SDN Taktakan 1 dimana disini pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru. Pada proses kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru masih menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga siswa kurang terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar mengajar dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran problem based learning. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan selama II siklus, setiap siklusnya terdapat empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V SDN Taktakan 1 yang berjumlah 43 orang dengan jumlah siswa laki-laki 19 orang dan jumlah siswa perempuan 24 orang. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan tes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persentase aktivitas guru pada siklus I sebesar 77,7% sedangkan pada siklus II memperoleh 88,8%. Hasil persentase observasi aktivitas siswa yang diperoleh pada siklus I sebesar 68% dan siklus II memperoleh 87%. Sedangkan untuk hasil belajar siswa selama proses pembelajaran pada siklus I hanya 51,1% yang tuntas belajarnya, sedangkan 21 siswa 48,8% tidak tuntas. Hasil belajar pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan sebanyak 38 siswa 88,3% tuntas belajarnya. Kata kunci: IPS, Problem Based Learning, hasil belajar The background of this research is the fact that the system in learning od social science of the fifth grade studentso at SDN Taktakan 1 is still teacher-centered. In the learning process, activities carried out by the teacher, with the lecture method so that students are less involved in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of the teaching and learning process and improve the student learning outcomes by applying the problem-based learning model. The method that was used in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out during II cycles, each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects in this study were 43 students of class V at SDN Taktakan 1, with 19 male students and 24 female students. Collecting data in this study using interviews, observation, and tests. The results of this study indicate that the percentage of teacher activity in cycle I was 77.7% while in cycle II it was 88.8%. The results of the percentage of student activity observations obtained in the first cycle were 68% and the second cycle obtained 87%. As for student learning outcomes during the learning process in cycle I, only 51.1% completed their studies, while 48.8% of 21 students did not complete. Learning outcomes in the second cycle increased of 38 students 88.3% complete learning. Keyword: social science, Problem Based Learning, learning outcomes
