    Abstract

    This study aims to determine the effect of online game addiction on the intention to perform aggression moderated by self-control partially and simultaneously. The research method used is a quantitative method with 75 teenagers aged 16-18 years as respondents in the Coffee Shop. The instrument in this study was compiled by researchers based on the concept of online game addiction theory from Chan & Chang to measure online game addiction, Buss & Perry to measure the intention to commit aggression, and Averill's self-control to measure self-control. The data analysis technique used in this research is simple linear regression, multiple regression, moderating regression analysis, coefficient of determination, t test, and F test. The results obtained indicate that partially there is an effect of online game addiction on the intention to commit aggression. In addition, this study also shows that online game addiction and self-control simultaneously affect the intention to commit aggression in adolescents, but self-control does not moderate the effect of online game addiction on the intention to commit aggression in adolescents.
