Abstract
Guru yang ideal diharapkan memenuhi kualifikasi dan kompetensi kepribadian, karena guru merupakan pembangun iklim di kelas dan juga suri tauladan bagi muridnya. Perilaku kekerasan yang terjadi di sekolah tinggi yang merupakan jenjang pendidikan sebelum mencetuskan tenaga pendidik tergolong tinggi. Banyak mahasiswa yang menggunakan kekerasan sebagai metode resolusi konflik. Proses pendidikan akan terhambat apabila penggunaan kekerasan di sekolah tinggi tidak diminimalisir, oleh karena itu perlu meningkatkan perilaku non-violence pada mahasiswa. Rendahnya penelitian secara empiris mengenai perilaku non-violence di sekolah tinggi khususnya Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, membuat belum ditemukannya alat ukur yang sesuai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan alat ukur berupa inventori perilaku non-violence pada mahasiswa UPI. Desain dan metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian survey. Pengembangan inventori perilaku non-violence dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen dasar dari Mayton yaitu Diamond Scale of Non-Violence. Analisis temuan penelitian menggunakan Rasch Model dengan uji validitas dan reliabilitas secara komprehensif. Hasil uji menunjukan item reliability sebesar 0,98 dengan kategori istimewa, person reliability sebesar 0,89 dengan kategori bagus, dan Cronbach Alpha sebesar 0,91 dengan kategori bagus sekali mengindikasikan alat ukur ini dapat digunakan untuk mengukur variabel perilaku non-violence dengan beberapa catatan yang harus diperhatikan. The ideal teacher is expected to had the qualifications and personality competencies, because the teacher is a climate builder in the classroom and also a role model for his students. Violent behavior that occurred in high school, which was the level of education before the initiation of teaching staff, was classified as high. There are still many students who use violence as a method of conflict resolution. The educational process will be hampered if the use of violence in high schools is not minimized. Therefore it is necessary to increase non-violence behavior in students. However, the lack of empirical research regarding non-violence behavior in high schools, especially the Indonesian University of Education, has resulted in the lack of suitable measuring instruments. The purpose of this study was to develop a measuring tool in the form of an inventory of non-violence behavior in UPI students. The design and methods in this study used a quantitative approach with a survey research design. The development of a non-violence behavior inventory was carried out using the basic instrument from Mayton, namely the Diamond Scale of Non-Violence. Analysis of research findings using the Rasch Model with comprehensive validity and reliability tests. The test results show item reliability of 0.98 in the special category, person reliability of 0.89 in the good category, and Cronbach Alpha of 0.91 in the excellent category indicating that this measuring instrument can be used to measure non-violence behavior variables with several note to watch out for.
