Abstract

Asertivitas merupakan sikap seseorang dalam bertindak demi kebaikan dirinya, mempertahankan haknya tanpa cemas, mengekspresikan perasaan secara nyaman, dan menjalankan haknya tanpa melanggar hak orang lain. Konsep asertivitas ini bersesuaian dengan katakteristik dan tugas perkembangan anak usia sekolah dasar dalam aspek pribadi dan sosial, serta bersesuaian dengan karakteristik layanan bimbingan kelompok sebagai strategi layanan yang dapat dirancang untuk meningkatkan asertivitas siswa sekolah dasar. Bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik bermain peran dipilih berdasarkan rekomendasi penelitian terdahulu dan kesesuaian konsepnya dengan karakteristik siswa sekolah dasar. Hal tersebut yang menjadi alasan dilakukannya penelitian untuk mengungkap gambaran asertivitas siswa sekolah dasar yang kemudian hasilnya akan dijadikan landasan dalam menyusun rancangan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik bermain peran yang bisa dilaksanakan oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling di tingkat sekolah dasar (jika tersedia) atau diintegrasikan dengan muatan mata pembelajaran yang sesuai oleh walikelas atau guru mata pelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian survey terhadap siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV, V, dan VI di SD Negeri Rendeh dengan menggunakan kuesioner asertivitas. Penelitian ini menghasilkan gambaran umum asertivitas siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV, V, dan VI yang pada umumnya berada dalam kategori asertif (tinggi), sebagian kecil berada dalam kategori non asertif, dan sedikit sekali siswa yang berada pada kategori agresif. Kata Kunci: Asertivitas, Bermain Peran, Bimbingan Kelompok, Siswa Sekolah Dasar Assertive is ability to express oneself positively, honestly, and directly to the person concerned, to promote equality in person-to-person relationships, to act in our own best interests, to stand up for ourselves without undue anxiety, to exercise personal rights without denying the rights of others, and to express our feelings and needs honestly and comfortably. The concept of assertiveness corresponds to the characteristics and developmental tasks of elementary school age children in personal and social aspects, and to the characteristics of group guidance services as a strategy that can be designed to increase the assertiveness of elementary school students. Group guidance with role playing techniques was chosen based reccomendations of previous research and the suitability of the concept with the characteristics of elementary school students. This is the reason for conducting research to describe assertiveness of elementary school age children, the results which will be used as basis for designing group guidance services using role playing technique that can be carried out by counselor or integrated with other content appropriate learning subjects by the homeroom/subjects teacher. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive method with a research survey design of grades IV, V, and VI elementary school at SD Negeri Rendeh by using aseertiveness questionnaire. The results of the research is produced an overview of the assertiveness of elementary school students in grades IV, V, and VI which generally in the assertiveness (high) category, a small number were in the non-assertive category, and very few students were in the aggresive category.
