Abstract

Kegagalan isolasi adalah masalah yang sering terjadi dalam penyaluran energi listrik pada peralatan tegangan tinggi. Penyebab utama kegagalan isolasi karena lonjakan tegangan yang melebihi daya tahan isolasi. Gejala awal kegagalan isolasi ditandai dengan peristiwa partial discharge. Peristiwa ini merupakan fenomena kerusakan dielektrik dimana terjadi lokalisasi muatan yang tidak sepenuhnya menyatukan dua elektrode penghantar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat dan menguji kinerja alat RC circuit sebagai sensor deteksi partial discharge sehingga dapat diketahui mengetahui gejala awal dan karakteristik partial discharge. Upaya pencegahan penting dilakukan untuk menangani kegagalan isolasi yang bermula dari partial discharge, maka metode yang digunakan yaitu menentukan latar belakang, masalah, tujuan penelitian, mengumpulkan beberapa penelitian yang relevan, pembuatan alat dan pengambilan data, verifikasi data, pengolahan dan analisis data, terakhir membuat kesimpulan. Pembuatan alat sensor detektor partial discharge yaitu RC circuit dibuat dari beberapa komponen pasif seperti resistor dan kapasitor yang disusun menjadi rangkaian impedansi dan rangkaian high pass filter. Proses pendeteksian mengacu pada standar IEC 60270, diperlukan alat atau komponen pendukung lain seperti regulator voltage, transformator, resistor, kopling kapasitor, sepasang elektrode, medium isolator, osiloskop, dan sensor RC circuit maupun High Frequency Current Transformers (HFCT). Pendeteksian alat dilakukan sebanyak 10x pada delapan jenis pengambilan data untuk mendapatkan tingkat akurasi alat. Hasil data didapatkan bahwa sensor RC circuit yang dibuat menghasilkan noise dan dapat mendeteksi partial discharge. Partial discharge inception voltage negative merupakan yang pertama dapat terdektesi pada tegangan sebesar 1,5 kV, sedangkan pada sisi positive terdeteksi pada tegangan sebesar 1,92 kV keduanya didapatkan pada gap isolasi udara sebesar 2,5 mm. Kata Kunci: Kegagalan Isolasi, Partial discharge, RC Circuit Insulation failure is a frequent problem in the distribution of electrical energy in high-voltage equipment. The main cause of insulation failure is due to voltage surges that exceed the insulation resistance. The initial symptoms of isolation failure are characterized by partial discharge events. This event is a phenomenon of dielectric damage in which a localization of the charge occurs that does not fully unite the two conducting electrodes. This study aims to create and test the performance of the RC circuit tool as a partial discharge detection sensor so that it can be known about the initial symptoms and characteristics of partial discharge. Prevention efforts are important to deal with isolation failures that start from partial discharge, so the methods used are determining the background, problems, research objectives, collecting some relevant research, making tools and data retrieval, verifying data, processing and analyzing data, finally making conclusions. The manufacture of partial discharge detector sensors, namely RC circuits, is made from several passive components such as resistors and capacitors which are arranged into impedance circuits and high pass filter circuits. The testing process refers to the IEC 60270 standard, other supporting tools or components are needed such as voltage regulators, transformers, resistors, capacitor couplings, a pair of electrodes, insulator mediums, oscilloscopes, and RC circuit sensors and High Frequency Current Transformers (HFCT). Tool testing was carried out as much as 10x on eight types of data retrieval to obtain the accuracy level of the tool. The results of the data found that the RC circuit sensor made produces noise and can detect partial discharge. Partial discharge inception voltage negative is the first that can be detected at a voltage of 1.5 kV, while on the positive side detected at a voltage of 1.92 kV both are obtained at an air isolation gap of 2.5 mm.
