Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai perkembangan budaya populer Korean Wave di Indonesia dalam perspektif artikel berita Korea tahun 2017-2021. Fenomena dalam penelitian adalah budaya populer Korea saat ini banyak diminati oleh masyarakat Indonesia, sehingga menimbulkan urgensi bahwa Korean Wave telah mendominasi budaya populer yang berkembang di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis wacana kritis milik Teun A. Van Dijk dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua belas artikel berita memenuhi sebagian besar unsur dari dimensi teks yakni struktur makro, superstruktur dan struktur mikro. Struktur makro yang membahas tematik berupa tema dan topik pada artikel berita, superstruktur menjelaskan skematik teks berupa pendahuluan, isi, penutup dan kesimpulan, dan struktur mikro membahas semantik yang terdiri dari latar, detil, maksud, dan praanggapan. Ditemukan juga perspektif dari kedua belas artikel berita yang terbagi ke dalam dua sudut pandang yaitu delapan artikel berita positif dengan sudut pandang tingkat perkembangan dan empat artikel berita negatif dari sudut pandang hal-hal yang bertentangan dengan norma dan agama. This study disscusses the development of Korean Wave popular culture in Indonesia in the perpspective of Korean News articles for 2017-2021. The phenomenon in this study is that Korean popular culture is currently in great demand by Indonesian people, giving rise to the urgency that the Korean Wave has dominated popular culture that is developing in Indonesia. This study uses Teun A Van Dijk’s critical discourse analysis with a descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study demonstrated that the twelve news articles fulfilled most of the elements from the dimensions of the text, namely macro structure, super structure and micro structure. The macro structure discusses the thematic in the form of themes and topics in news articles, the superstructure describes the text schematic in the form of introduction, content, closing and conclusions, and the micro structure discusses semantics which consists of background, details, intent and presuppositions. The perspectives of the twelve news articles were also found which were divided into two perspectives, namely eight positive news articles from the point of view of the level of development and four negative news articles from the point of view of things that conflict with norms and religion.
