Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji dan membandingkan metode piramid normal dan terbalik terhadap peningkatan power. Hampir dalam setiap cabang olahraga atlet akan membutuhkan kemampuan yang menggunakan kekuatan power. Pemilihan program latihan sangat penting dalam menjalankan program yang di berikan kepada atlet. Dalam cabang olahraga prestasi puncak kondisi fisik atau peak performance yang sesuai dengan program yang telah di rencanakan pelatih terkadang berbeda dengan tujuan mencapai kondisi fisik terbaik khususnya sebelum pertandingan. Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah two sample group test design dengan memberikan latihan beban eksternal selama delapan pekan kepada 20 Mahasiswa Ilmu Keolahragaan FPOK UPI 2021. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjunjukan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan power upperbody dan lowerbody namun antara metode piramid normal dan terbalik terhadap upperbody dan lowerbody sama baik nya dan dapat di simpulkan tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan. Kata Kunci: Metode Piramid, performa, Power, Kondisi Fisik The purpose of this study was to test and compare the normal and inverted pyramid methods for increasing power. In almost every sport, athletes will need the ability to use power. The selection of training programs is very important in carrying out the programs given to athletes. In sports, peak performance in physical condition or peak performance in accordance with the program planned by the trainer is sometimes different from the goal of achieving the best physical condition, especially before a competition. The method used in this study was a two sample group test design by providing external weight training for eight weeks to 20 Sports Science Students of FPOK UPI 2021. The results of this study showed that it had a significant effect on increasing upperbody and lowerbody power, but when compared between methods normal and inverted pyramids for upperbody and lowerbody are equally good and it can be concluded that there is no significant difference.
