Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah gaya kepemimpinan autentik dapat memoderasi pengaruh pertemanan di tempat kerja terhadap work engagement di kawasan industri Jawa Barat. Partisipan yang terlibat berjumlah 409 orang karyawan di kawasan industri Jawa Barat (Bekasi, Karawang, Purwakarta, dan Bandung Raya) dengan minimal masa kerja selama satu tahun atau lebih. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Workplace Friendship Scale (WFS) untuk mengukur pertemanan di tempat kerja dengan reliabilitas 0.738, The Utrecht Work Engagement (UWES) untuk mengukur work engagement dengan reliabilitas 0.929, dan Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (ALQ) untuk mengukur gaya kepemimpinan autentik dengan reliabilitas 0.802. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) menggunakan program SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan autentik tidak memoderasi pengaruh pertemanan di tempat kerja terhadap work engagement di kawasan industri Jawa Barat. Namun, gaya kepemimpinan autentik dalam penelitian ini berperan sebagai variabel prediktor. This study aims to determine whether authentic leadership style can moderate the effect of workplace friendship on work engagement in the industrial area of West Java. The participants involved were 409 employees in the industrial area of West Java (Bekasi, Karawang, Purwakarta, and Bandung Raya) with a minimum working period of one year or more. The instruments used in this study were the Workplace Friendship Scale (WFS) to measure workplace friendships with a reliability of 0.738, The Utrecht Work Engagement (UWES) to measure work engagement with a reliability of 0.929, and the Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (ALQ) to measure authentic leadership styles. with a reliability of 0.802. The data analysis technique used is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) using the SPSS version 26 program. The results of this study indicate that authentic leadership style does not moderate the effect of friendship on work engagement in the West Java industrial area. However, authentic leadership style in this study acts as a moderator predictor variable.
