Abstract

ABSTRAK Penciptaan karya drawing ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keadaan lingkungan laut di dunia saat ini. Keberlangsungan biota laut terindikasi semakin hari semakin terancam. Eksploitasi sumber daya alam laut yang dilakukan oleh manusia makin hari semakin tidak terkendali menyebabkan biota laut mengalami ancaman kepunahan, manusia tidak memikirkan akan akibat atas perbuatannya. Penangkapan biota laut secara berlebihan, pemanasan global, polusi plastik, polusi suara, pengeboran dan pencarian minyak kemudian gas di laut yang merusak lingkungan. Hal tersebut menjadi ironi karena akan membuat biota laut semakin hari semakin berkurang dan akan terancam punah. Dari uraian di atas, terciptalah gagasan untuk membuat karya drawing dengan tema biota laut. Biota laut yang terdapat dalam karya drawing ini terdapat 8 hewan sebagai perwakilan semua biota laut yang ada, yang pertama belut gigi taring (fangtooth moray eel), hiu paus (whale shark), kuda laut berduri (the spinny seahorse), jelatang laut hitam (the black sea nettle jellyfish), penyu hijau (green turtle), gurita pasifik utara (the giant pacific octopus), ikan pari burung elang (spotted eagle rays), ikan raja herring (oarfish: Regalecus russellii) dengan konsep biota laut yang digambar dengan latar belakang habitat laut mereka yang masih lestari. Rumusan masalah yang terdapat dalam skripsi penciptaan ini yang pertama adalah bagaimana proses pengembangan konsep berkarya drawing dengan sumber gagasan biota laut, rumusan kedua, bagaimana proses pembuatan karya drawing dengan sumber gagasan biota laut, serta rumusan ketiga, bagaimana visualisasi karya drawing dengan sumber gagasan biota laut. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik pointilis dengan media drawing pen di atas kertas A2 Aquarelle merk Arto (200 gsm) dengan jumlah karya gambar depalan. Karya drawing ini diharapkan dapat menyampaikan pesan ke moral dan penyadaran masyarakat untuk menjaga lingkungan di laut agar biota laut akan terus ada dan tidak terancam punah. Kata Kunci : Biota Laut, Drawing. ABSTRACT The background for the creation of this drawing work is the current state of the marine environment in the world. The sustainability of marine biota is indicated to be increasingly threatened. Exploitation of marine natural resources by humans is increasingly out of control causing marine biota to experience the threat of extinction, humans do not think about the consequences of their actions. Over-fishing of marine life, global warming, plastic pollution, noise pollution, drilling and search for oil and gas in the sea which damage the environment. This is ironic because it will reduce marine biota day by day and will be threatened with extinction. From the description above, the idea was created to create a work of art with the theme of marine life. The marine biota contained in this drawing work consists of 8 animals as representatives of all existing marine biota, the first being the canine eel (fangtooth moray eel), the pause shark (whale shark), the spiny seahorse, the black sea nettle ( black sea nettle jellyfish), green turtle, north pacific octopus (giant pacific octopus), spotted eagle ray, king herring fish (oarfish: Regalecus russellii) with marine biota concept drawn against marine habitat background those who are still alive. The first formulation of the problem contained in this creation thesis is how the process of developing the concept of drawing works with marine biota ideas, the second formulation, how is the process of making drawing works with marine biota ideas, and the third formulation, how to visualize drawing works with marine biota ideas . The technique used is pointillism technique with drawing pen media on A2 Aquarelle paper with the Arto brand (200 gsm) with a total of eight drawings. It is hoped that this drawing work can convey a message to morale and public awareness to protect the environment in the sea so that marine life will continue to exist and not be threatened with extinction.
