Abstract

Podcast telah menjadi salahsatu media baru yang digunakan oleh khalayak dalam mendapatkan informasi. Konten yang terdapat pada podcast biasanya berupa dialog atau percakapan antara narasumber maupun podcaster. Dalam praktiknya, informasi lisan yang terjadi antara narasumber dan podcaster seringkali bersifat spontan dan mentah sehingga kualitas isi informasi pada podcast dipertanyakan, terutama dalam memenuhi kebutuhan para pendengarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kualitas konten Podcast Thirty Days Of Lunch terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pendengarnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner secara daring. Sampel penelitian diambil dari anggota grup komunitas pendengar podcast Thirty Days Of Lunch yang berusia 18-30 tahun dan sudah mendengarkan konten podcast minimal 3 kali. Responden yang didapatkan sebanyak 46 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya pengaruh positif antara kualitas informasi konten podcast Thirty Days Of Lunch terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pendengar. Hasil tersebut ditujukan dengan adanya pemenuhan informasi dengan kategori “baik” untuk aspek imajinasi, dan “sangat baik” untuk aspek kognitif, afektif, integrasi personal, dan integrasi sosial. Podcasts have become one of the new media used by audiences to get information. The content contained in podcasts is usually in the form of monologues or conversations between sources and podcasters. In practice, the oral information that occurs between sources and podcasters is often spontaneous and raw so that the quality of the information content on podcasts is questionable, especially in meeting the needs of the listeners. The purpose of this study was to find out how the quality of the content of the “Thirty Days Of Lunch Podcast” is to fulfill the information needs of its listeners. The research method used in this study is descriptive quantitative with data collection techniques through online questionnaires. The research sample was taken from members of the thirty-day lunch podcast listening community group, aged 18-30 years and had listened to podcast content at least 3 times. Respondents obtained as many as 46 people. The results showed that there was a positive influence between the information quality of the “Thirty Days Lunch” podcast content on the fulfillment of listeners' information needs. These results are indicated by the fulfillment of information in the "good" category for the imagination aspect, and very good for the cognitive, affective, personal integration, and social integration aspects.
