Abstract

Pada era perkembangan teknologi yang pesat, generasi saat ini terutama Gen Z, sering menggunakan live streaming melalui media sosial dan platform lainnya untuk berbagai macam hal. Broadcast live streaming merupakan salah satu inovasi media baru dimana penyebaran konten yang dilakukan secara live agar penonton selalu mendapatkan informasi terbaru. Di Indonesia, tingkat minat baca masih perlu ditingkatkan, karena minimalnya sarana untuk mendukung dan menumbuhkan minat baca. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh antara broadcast VLIVE seri “Shall We Read a Book with Kanghyun?” terhadap minat baca komunitas WEVE Indonesia. Untuk menjawab rumusan masalah, penelitian ini menggunakan teori aspek minat baca yang terdiri dari (1) aspek kesadaran akan manfaat membaca buku (2) perhatian akan membaca buku, (3) rasa senang membaca buku, dan (4) frekuensi membaca buku. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan jumlah 44 sampel penggemar ONEWE, yakni WEVE di seluruh Indonesia. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala likert. Hasil kuesioner penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat baca di komunitas WEVE Indonesia tergolong sangat kuat dengan hasil perhitungan aspek minat baca yang tergolong ke dalam kategori Kuat hingga Sangat Kuat. Hal ini juga dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis uji hipotesis data yang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh broadcast VLIVE seri “Shall We Read a Book with Kanghyun?” terhadap minat baca di komunitas WEVE Indonesia. Kata kunci: Broadcast, Minat Baca, VLIVE In an era of rapid technological development, the current generation, especially Gen Z, often use live streaming via social media and other platforms for various things. Broadcast live streaming is one of the new media innovations in which the distribution of content is carried out live so that viewers always get the latest information. In Indonesia, the level of reading interest still needs to be increased, due to the lack of facilities to support and foster interest in reading. This research was conducted to find out whether there is an influence between VLIVE broadcast of the "Shall We Read a Book with Kanghyun?" series on reading interest in the WEVE Indonesia community. To answer the questions of the problem, this study uses the theory of reading interest aspects which consist of (1) aspects of awareness of the benefits of reading books (2) attention to reading books, (3) enjoyment of reading books, and (4) frequency of reading books. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a sample of 44 ONEWE fans, namely WEVE throughout Indonesia. The Likert Scale was used as the instrument to gather data. The questionnaire results showed that reading interest in the WEVE Indonesia community was classified as very strong with the results of calculating aspects of reading interest belonging to “Strong” to “Very Strong” category. This can also be seen from the results of statistical hypothesis data analysis which shows the influence of the VLIVE broadcast of the series “Shall We Read a Book with Kanghyun?” towards reading interest in the WEVE Indonesia community.
