Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengintegrasian Konsep Sains dan Agama dalam Pembelajaran Sains di Sekolah Dasar untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Hakikat Sains dan Keyakinan Agama TURSINAWATI 1803129 Upaya peningkatan pemahaman sains siswa seringkali mengabaikan keyakinan agama. Akibatnya siswa dapat mengembangkan pemahaman sains namun keyakinan agama terabaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengintegrasian konsep sains dan agama dalam pembelajaran sains dalam meningkatkan pemahaman hakikat sains dan keyakinan terhadap agama siswa Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain mixed method. Subjek penelitian adalah empat guru dan 103 siswa pada dua Sekolah Dasar di Provinsi Aceh, Indonesia. Data dianalisis diawali dengan kualitatif, dan selanjutnya kuantitatif yang di dalamnya menggunakan kualitatif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa selama ini guru belum memuat aspek hakikat sains dan keyakinan agama pada rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, walaupun guru mengungkapkan kadang-kadang memuatnya. Faktornya adalah guru memiliki pemahaman yang kurang tepat tentang hakikat sains dan hanya memuat ayat Al-Qur’an namun belum mengkaitkan kepada keyakinan agama dalam memperoleh ilmu pengetahuan. Selama ini guru jarang mengintegrasikan hakikat sains dan agama dalam pembelajaran sains secara eksplisit. Setelah penerapan pengintegrasian konsep sains dan agama maka terdapat peningkatan pemahaman hakikat sains dan keyakinan agama siswa pada pembelajaran sains di Sekolah Dasar. Pengintegrasian konsep sains dan agama dilaksanakan secara eksplisit dalam strategi pembelajaran, keaktifan siswa, penilaian, dan penggunaan bahan ajar. Pengintegrasian konsep sains dan agama dapat memfasilitasi siswa menjadi ilmuwan yang memiliki keyakinan agama yang lebih baik. Perlunya perhatian dan tindak lanjut dari lembaga terkait untuk pengembangan model pembelajaran, bahan ajar, media pembelajaran, dan pengembangan keterampilan guru dalam mengajar pembelajaran pengintegrasian konsep sains dan agama pada pembelajaran sains. Kata kunci: Integrasi, konsep sains, hakikat sains, keyakinan agama ABSTRACT Integrating Science and Religious Concepts in Elementary School’s Science Learning to Increase the Understanding of the Nature of Science and Religious Beliefs TURSINAWATI 1803129 Efforts to increase students' understanding of science often neglect religious beliefs. As a result, students develop an understanding of science but their religious beliefs are not improved. This study aims to examine the integration of the concepts of science and religion in science learning to increase the understanding of the nature of science and religious beliefs among elementary school students. This study used a mixed-method design. The research subjects were four teachers and 103 students from two elementary schools in Aceh Province, Indonesia. The data was analyzed firstly with a qualitative, then quantitative in which using qualitative. The results show that so far teachers have not included the aspects of the nature of science and religious beliefs in the lesson plans, although they say that they sometimes include them. The factor is that the teacher has an inaccurate understanding of the nature of science and only contains verses from the Qur'an but has not linked it to religious beliefs in obtaining knowledge. Moreover, teachers rarely integrate the nature of science and religion in science learning explicitly. The results also show that after the application of integration of the concepts of science and religion, there is an increase in the understanding of the nature of science and students' religious beliefs in science learning in elementary schools. The integration of science and religion concepts is carried out explicitly in learning strategies, student activities, assessment tools, and teaching materials. The integration of science and religious concepts facilitate students to become a scientist who has better religious belief. The attention and follow-up from related institutions for the development of teacher skills in teaching, learning models, teaching materials, and media regarding the integration of science and religion concepts in science learning are necessary.
