Abstract
This study is based by the low learning outcomes of students in the XI Social grade Senior High School in East Jakarta for the academic year 2021/2022 based on the results of the Mid-Semester Assessment (PTS). This study aims to determine whether the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) plays a role in mediating the effect of learning motivation on student learning outcomes. The population in this study were students in the XI Social grade Senior High School in East Jakarta. By using random sampling technique, it was obtained a sample of 4 schools and 219 students as respondents. The method used is an explanatory survey and the data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis with mediating variables. The results of this study indicate that: (i) learning motivation in the moderate category; the use of ICT is in the moderate category; and the average student learning outcomes are below the KKM, (ii) there is an effect of learning motivation on learning outcomes by 9,5%, (iii) the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) partially mediates the influence of learning motivation on student learning outcomes, meaning the influence of learning motivation on student learning outcomes can occur directly and can also occur indirectly, namely through the mediation variable ICT (Information and Communication Technology). However, the direct influence of learning motivation on student learning outcomes is not stronger than through the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) mediator variable.
