Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur naratif, perbandingan struktur dan perbandingan motif indeks dalam cerita Lutung Leutik karya Ki Umbara dan Purba Sari Ayu Wangi karya Ajip Rosidi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analisis untuk mendeskripsikan serta menganalisis struktur dan perbandingan dalam cerita Lutung Leutik karya Ki Umbara dan Purba Sari Ayu Wangi Karya Ajip Rosidi, yang kemudian dianalisis motif indeksnya. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: Pertama, tema dalam cerita Lutung Leutik karya Ki Umbara dan Purba Sari Ayu Wangi Karya Ajip Rosidi adalah mengenai kesabaran seorang manusia dalam mengahadapi sulitnya kehidupan sampai pada ahirnya menemukan kebahagiaan dalam hidup. Alur ceritanya pun memiliki persamaan, yaitu alur maju. Latar dalam dua karya tersebut terbagi menjadi empat meliputi, latar tempat, latar waktu, latar sosial, serta latar budaya, serta ditemukan pula persamaan dan perbedaannya. Dalam kedua karya tersebut terlihat pula ada beberapa nama tokoh yang sama; kedua; motif indeks yang ditemukan dalam kedua karya tersebut terdapat motif mythology, animal, tabu, the dead, marvels, sex, dan reward and punishment. Setelah dianalisis, terdapat beberapa persamaan dan perbedaan struktur dalam cerita Lutung Leutik karya Ki Umbara dan Purba Sari Ayu Wangi Karya Ajip Rosidi. Kata kunci: bandingan, motif indeks, strukturalisme This research aims to describe the narrative structure, structure comparison and index motif between the story Lutung Leutik by Ki Umbara and Purba Sari Ayu Wangi by Ajip Rosidi. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis to describe and analyze the structure and comparison in the story Lutung Leutik by Ki Umbara and Purba Sari Ayu Wangi by Ajip Rosidi, which is then analyzed for the motif index. The results of this study are: First, the theme in the story Lutung Leutik by Ki Umbara and Purba Sari Ayu Wangi by Ajip Rosidi is about the patience of a human being in facing the difficulties of life until finding happiness in life. The storyline also has something in common, namely the forward plot. The setting in the two works is divided into four including, place setting, time setting, social background, and cultural background, and the similarities and the differences are also found. In both works, it can be seen that there are several names of the same characters; second; The index motifs found in both works are mythology, animal, taboo, the dead, marvels, sex, and reward and punishment motifs. After being analyzed, there are some similarities and differences in the structure of the story Lutung Leutik by Ki Umbara and Purba Sari Ayu Wangi by Ajip Rosidi.
