Tesis, Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia, Program Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Pembimbing: (I) Dr. Andoyo Sastromiharjo, M.Pd (II) Dr. Nuny Sulistiany Idris, M.Pd ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kemampuan komunikasi berbicara tenaga fasilitator lapangan yang masih banyak kendala terutama sering timbul rasa gugup atau cemas saat mensosialisasikan program sehingga perlu upaya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicaranya. Salah satu bentuk upaya yang bisa dilakukan yaitu dengan menyediakan bahan pelatihan kemampuan berbicara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kebutuhan bahan pelatihan, (2) bentuk pengembangan bahan pelatihan, (3) efektivitas bahan pelatihan, (4) kelayakan bahan pelatihan, serta (5) respon tenaga fasilitator terhadap pengembangan bahan pelatihan. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode penelitian research and development dalam membuat pengembangan bahan pelatihan kemampuan berbicara, dengan sampel tenaga fasilitator lapangan yang melakukan tugas di wilayah Kabupaten Subang serta masyarakat penerima program bantuan BSPS yang ada di wilayah Kabupaten Subang. Instrumen yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini terkait kebutuhan bahan pelatihan tenaga fasilitator lapangan, prototipe bahan pelatihan bermuatan budaya lokal masyarakat Kabupaten Subang, penilaian efektivitas, data kebudayaan lokal masyarakat Kabupaten Subang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kebutuhan bahan pelatihan didasarkan atas kemampuan komunikasi bicara yang masih kurang dalam penyampaian sosialisasi program yang memperoleh penilaian awal kurang baik dari 60% sampel responden yang dimintai pendapatnya. (2) Bentuk pengembangan bahan pelatihan dibuat berdasarkan permasalahan yang dialami oleh para tenaga fasilitator lapangan yang terbentuk ke dalam modul kegiatan pelatihan yang berisi 3 bagian pelatihan. (3) Bahan pelatihan yang dikembangkan mempunyai hubungan positif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi bicara para tenaga fasilitator lapangan dengan perolehan korelasi yang diperoleh merupakan korelasi yang kuat dengan nilai korelasi 0,616 serta taraf signifikansi 0,004 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahan pelatihan yang dikembangkan memberikan pengaruh yang positif atas peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi para tenaga fasilitator lapangan. (4) Bahan pelatihan yang telah dikembangkan mendapat nilai kelayakan sebesar 79 (78%) dengan kategori kelayakan “baik” setelah mengalami proses revisi sebelumnya sehingga layak untuk diterapkan. (5) Respon tenaga fasilitator lapangan terhadap bahan pelatihan yang dibuat memberikan total nilai respon sebesar 84% dengan kategori respon yang diberikan yaitu sangat menarik setelah melewati proses uji coba produk ke dua kalinya. One form of effort that can be done is by providing speaking skills training materials. This study aims to determine: (1) the need for training materials, (2) the form of training material development, (3) the effectiveness of the training materials, (4) the appropriateness of the training materials, and (5) the response of the facilitators to the development of training materials. This study applies research and development research methods in developing speaking skills training materials, with a sample of field facilitators who carry out tasks in the Subang Regency area as well as community recipients of the BSPS assistance program in the Subang Regency area. The instruments applied in this study were related to the need for training materials for field facilitators, prototypes of training materials containing the local culture of the Subang Regency community, effectiveness assessment, and data on the local culture of the Subang Regency community. The results showed that: (1) The need for training materials was based on speech communication skills that were still lacking in the delivery of program socialization which received an initial assessment of less than 60% of the sample of respondents asked for their opinion. (2) The form of training material development is made based on the problems experienced by field facilitators which are formed into a training activity module which contains 3 training parts. (3) The training materials developed have a positive relationship with the speaking communication skills of the field facilitators with the correlation obtained which is a strong correlation with a correlation value of 0.616 and a significance level of 0.004 so that it can be concluded that the training materials developed have a positive effect on improving communication skills. field facilitators. (4) The training materials that have been developed get a feasibility score of 79 (78%) with the “good” eligibility category after undergoing a previous revision process so that it is feasible to apply. (5) The response of the field facilitators to the training materials that were made gave a total response value of 84% with the response category given which was very interesting after going through the product trial process for the second time.
