Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi adanya ketidaksantunan berbahasa yaitu bentuk pelanggaran terhadap teori kesantunan Leech (2011) serta mengidentifikasi penyebab terjadinya ketidaksantunan komentar-komentar berdasarkan teori Pranowo (2009) terhadap pengguna akun pseudonimitas mengenai kasus ‘Nth Room’ pada portal berita The Hankyoreh. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif guna menjabarkan fenomena serta temuan pada penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pelanggaran terhadap lima maksim Leech (2011) dalam kolom komentar 20 artikel yang diteliti. Di antaranya yaitu terdapat pelanggaran pada maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kemurahan, maksim kerendahan hati, maksim kesetujuan, serta maksim kesimpatian. Namun, tuturan yang melanggar maksim kebijaksanaan dan maksim kemurahan cenderung digunakan oleh akun pseudonimitas. Selain itu, ditemukan pula lima faktor penyebab ketidaksantunan Pranowo (2009) baik tuturan yang ditemukan berupa kata, frasa maupun kalimat. Ketidaksantunan yang ditemukan tersebut penyebabnya dikarenakan menggunakan kata kasar berupa hinaan; dorongan emosi penutur yaitu emosi marah, kecewa, malu serta jijik; protektif terhadap pendapat, sengaja menuduh lawan tutur dan sengaja memojokkan lawan tutur. Tetapi, para akun pseudonimitas cenderung membuat tuturan tidak santun karena disebabkan oleh penggunaan kata kasar walaupun tidak dituliskan secara eksplisit serta sengaja menuduh lawan tutur yakni kepada para hakim serta para petinggi negara yang belum tentu mengenai kebenarannya dan tanpa disertai bukti yang nyata. Kata kunci: Ketidaksantunan, Leech, maksim, pseudonimitas ABSTRACT This research aims to identify linguistic impoliteness, which violates Leech's (2011) theory of politeness principle, and the reason of impoliteness in comments based on Pranowo's (2009) theory of pseudonymous account users regarding the 'Nth Room' case on the news portal The Hankyoreh. The method used in this study is qualitative to describe the phenomena and discoveries. The results revealed violations of Leech's (2011) five maxims in the comments section of the 20 articles. Several maxims violated were tact, generosity, modesty, agreement, and sympathy. The comments that violated the maxim of tact and the maxim of generosity tend to be used by pseudonymous accounts. Moreover, from the comments, five factors that generate impoliteness by Pranowo (2009) were also found in words, phrases, and sentences. They were considered impoliteness because of (1) using harsh words in insults; (2) the emotional impulse of the user such as anger, disappointed, shame, and disgust; (3) defensive of opinions; (4) intentionally blaming the interlocutor; and (5) intentionally cornering the interlocutor. Pseudonymous account users tend to make impolite speeches, reflected by the use of harsh words even though it was not written explicitly and intentionally blamed the interlocutor, such as judges and state officials, without certainty of the factual truth and concrete evidence.
