Abstract

This research is motivated by the unavailability of an instrument for detecting early childhood learning readiness in cognitive aspects that can be used by teachers and parents in preparing children to continue their primary school education level. The purpose of this study was to obtain information regarding the need for learning readiness detection instruments carried out at the PAUD level, early childhood learning readiness detection instruments in the cognitive aspect, the use of early childhood learning readiness detection instruments in the cognitive aspect of when, and the feasibility of developing readiness detection instruments. early childhood learning on cognitive aspects. The research design used is the Educational Design Research (EDR) model of Reeves, which consists of four stages, namely: 1) Analysis and exploration; 2) design and construction; 3) evaluation and reflection; 4) Maturing intervention and theoretical understanding. This study involved teachers and parents at Kartika IX-10/Cangkurileung Kindergarten and UPI Pilot Laboratory Kindergarten. The data collection technique used is the distribution of a questionnaire sheet. The final result of the research is that information is obtained regarding the basic needs of early childhood learning readiness detection instruments, the design of early childhood learning readiness detection instruments in cognitive aspects, implementation of early childhood learning readiness detection instruments in cognitive aspects, as well as the results of the development and feasibility of readiness detection instruments. early childhood learning on cognitive aspects that can be used by teachers and parents.
