Abstract

Kata kunci: deteksi dini; pencapaian perkembangan; perkembangan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the problem of the lack of early detection tools in children aged 5-6 years on the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years. The purpose of this study was to develop an early detection instrument to detect the cognitive development of children 5-6 years old in Sukamaju Village, Panglayungan Village, Cipedes District, Tasikmalaya City. The research method used is the development of the Educational Design Research (EDR) design by Mckenney and Reeves. The EDR research procedure has 4 stages, namely: Exploration and Analysis; Construction and Design (Construction and Design); Reflection and Evaluation (Reflection and Evaluation); Maturing Intervention and Theoretical Understanding. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, literature study, questionnaires, and expert validation. This validation is carried out by experts in the field of cognitive and early detection assessment. After going through several revisions according to the validator's suggestions, the product was tested twice in Sukamaju Village, Panglayungan Village, Cipedes District, Tasikmalaya City. Based on the analysis of product trial data, this instrument for early detection of cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years has been successfully developed and is suitable for use in detecting cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years. Keywords: early detection; developmental education; cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years.
