Abstract

In the world of work or industry, Soft Skills are needed to support success at work. In addition, there are several companies that require the ability of Soft Skills itself in their work activities.Soft skills are communication skills, characteristics of a person, inherent social intelligence, and the ability to adapt well in life and the world of work. This study aims (1) to determine the description of the Soft Skills abilities of students majoring in DPIB SMK Negeri 6 Bandung. (2) To find out the description of the performance of Industrial Work Practice students majoring in DPIB SMK Negeri 6 Bandung. (3) To determine the effect of Soft Skills on Industrial Work Practice Achievement of students majoring in DPIB SMK Negeri 6 Bandung. The research method used in this research is quantitative research with data processing using descriptive analysis and data analysis of normality, homogeneity and linearity. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire with a Likert Scale and documentation of the certificate of Industrial Work Practice results. The results of the research are (1) Overview of Soft Skills owned by students majoring in DPIB class XII SMK Negeri 6 Bandung is in the sufficient category. (2) Overview of the Industrial Work Practice Achievement of DPIB class XII students of SMK Negeri 6 Bandung is in the good category. (3) The results of data analysis that there is a positive and significant influence on Soft Skills on Industrial Work Practice Achievement of students majoring in DPIB SMKN 6 Bandung with ups and downs or large effects through the regression equation Y = 26.377 + 0.472X, where each increase in the value of the Soft Skills variable (X), then the value of the Industrial Work Practice Achievement variable (Y) will increase by 0.472. Dalam dunia pekerjaan atau industri, Soft Skills deiperlukan untuk menunjang keberhasilan dalam pekerjaannya. Selain itu tedapat beberapa perusahaan yang memerlukan kemampuan Soft Skills itu sendiri dalam kegiatan pekerjaannya. Soft Skills adalah kemampuan komunikasi, karakteristik seseorang, kecerdasan sosial yang melekat, serta kemampuan beradaptasi dengan baik di dalam kehidupan maupun dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Untuk mengetahui gambaran kemampuan Soft Skills yang dimiliki siswa jurusan DPIB SMK Negeri 6 Bandung. (2) Untuk mengetahui gambaran prestasi Praktik Kerja Industri siswa jurusan DPIB SMK Negeri 6 Bandung. (3) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh Soft Skills terhadap Prestasi Praktik Kerja Industri siswa jurusan DPIB SMK Negeri 6 Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pengolahan data menggunakan analisisa deskriptif serta analisa data normalitas, homogenitas dan linieritas. Teknik Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan Skala Likert dan dokumentasi sertifikat hasil Praktik Kerja Industri. Hasl dari penelitian adalah (1) Gambaran Soft Skills yang dimiliki siswa jurusan DPIB kelas XII SMK Negeri 6 Bandung masuk pada kategori cukup. (2) Gambaran Prestasi Praktik Kerja Indsutri yang dimiliki siswa jurusan DPIB kelas XII SMK Negeri 6 Bandung masuk pada kategori baik. (3) Hasil analisis data terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan pada Soft Skills terhadap Prestasi Praktik Kerja Industri siswa jurusan DPIB SMKN 6 Bandung dengan naik turunnya atau besar kecilnya pengaruh melalui persamaan regresi Y = 26,377 + 0,472X, dimana setiap kenaikan nilai variabel Soft Skills (X), maka nilai variabel Prestasi Praktik Kerja Industri (Y) akan bertambah 0,472.
