Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul “Munculnya Pengusaha Peuyeum sampeu dan Dampaknya Terhadap Kehidupan Sosial Ekonomi di Kecamatan Cipatat Kabupaten Bandung Barat Tahun 1980-2020”. Permasalahan pokok yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini adalah bagaimana munculnya pengusaha peuyeum sampeu di Kecamatan Cipatat Tahun 1980. Pengusaha peuyeum sampeu merupakan salah satu kearifan lokal yang sudah turun temurun dan menjadi mata pencaharian masyarakat Kecamatan Cipatat Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengkaji lebih dalam terkait munculnya pengusaha peuyeum sampeu dan awal mula masyarakat mengenal usaha peuyeum sampeu di Kecamatan Cipatat, perkembangan serta upaya yang dilakukan dalam rangka mengembangkan usaha maupun dampak yang terjadi pada kehidupan sosial-ekonomi masyarakat Kecamatan Cipatat Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode historis meliputi heuristik (pengumpulan sumber) baik sumber lisan maupun tulisan, kritik sumber dan historiografi. Sedangkan teknik penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan beberapa temuan yakni Kecamatan Cipatat merupakan sentra penghasil peuyeum sampeu yang menjadi ciri khas daerah. Sebelum berkembangnya usaha peuyeum sampeu sebagian besar masyarakat Kecamatan Cipatat bermata pencaharian sebagai petani. Keberadaan usaha peuyeum sampeu ini terus mengalami pasang surut dengan berbagai macam tantangan yang dihadapi pengusaha. Usaha peuyeum sampeu telah menambah mata pencaharian baru bagi masyarakat Kecamatan Cipatat. Bertambahnya mata pencaharian tersebut telah memberikan perubahan kehidupan masyarakat di Kecamatan Cipatat. Perubahan tersebut tidak signifikan namun memberikan pengaruh terhadap berbagai aspek sosial-ekonomi diantaranya pendapatan, tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat, tingkat pendidikan serta gaya hidup masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Peuyeum sampeu, Perubahan Sosial Ekonomi, Kecamatan Cipatat This thesis is entitled "The Emergence of Peuyeum Sampeu Entrepreneurs and Its Impact on Socio-Economic Life in Cipatat District, West Bandung Regency from 1980-2020". The main problem discussed in this thesis is the emergence of Peuyeum sampeu entrepreneurs in Cipatat District in 1980. Peuyeum sampeu entrepreneurs are one of the local cultures that have been passed down from generation to generation and become the livelihood of the people of Cipatat District, West Bandung Regency. The purpose of this study is to examine more deeply related to the emergence of Peuyeum sampeu entrepreneurs and how the community first became acquainted with the Peuyeum sampeu business in Cipatat District, the development and efforts made in order to develop the business and the impact that occurred on the socio-economic life of the people of Cipatat District, West Bandung Regency. The research method used is the historical method including heuristics (collection of sources) both oral and written sources, source criticism and historiography. While the research techniques used are literature studies and interviews. Based on the results of the study, several findings were found, one of which showed that Cipatat District is a center for producing Peuyeum sampeu which has become a characteristic of this area. Before the development of the Peuyeum sampeu business, most of the people of Cipatat district worked as farmers. The existence of the Peuyeum sampeu business continues to experience ups and downs with various challenges faced by entrepreneurs. The Peuyeum sampeu business has added new livelihoods for the people of Cipatat District. The increase in livelihoods has changed the lives of the people in Cipatat District. These changes are not significant but have an impact on various socio-economic aspects including income, community welfare level, education level and people's lifestyle.
