Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini berlatar belakang karena peneliti ingin mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan hasil belajar matematika tentang konsep pembagian bilangan cacah di kelas II SDN 1 Pagerageung, namun masih sebagian dari peserta didik yang belum dapat meningkatkan hasil belajarnya. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana keefektifan media congklak terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi pembagian bilangan cacah, selain itu media ini juga dapat memudahkan peserta didik menyelesaikan permasalahan terkait pembagian bilangan cacah yang mereka anggap rumit. Cara kerja media congklak ini sangat sederhana, untuk menyelesaikan soal pembagian, peserta didik hanya perlu memasukan biji congklak kedalam lobang sesuai dengan soal yang diberikan oleh guru dan menghitung berapa banyaknya biji pada seluruh lobang. Pemnfaatan media congklak ini dalam proses pembelajaran matematika dikelas dapat menghilangkan kesan matematika yang rumit dan sulit dimengerti. Karena dengan memanfaatkan media ini peserta didik dapat secara langsung menggali pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam berhitung, membuat materi yang abstrak menjadi kongkret, serta peserta didik senang belajar karena disamping itu juga mereka dapat bermain. Sehingga peserta didik jadi lebih muda dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh guru. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus dan disetiap siklusnya meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakkan, observasi dan juga refleksi. Siklus berhenti ketika target keberhasilan telah tercapai. Instrument penggumpulan data yang di gunakan yaitu : Lembar tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi guru, lembar observasi peserta didik, dan wawancara dengan guru kelas II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar pada setiap siklusnya. Peningkatan tersebut di tunjukkan dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siklus I dengan nilai rata-rata 79% dan siklus II terjadi peningkatan dengan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 90%. Maka hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan media congklak dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika tentang konsep pembagian bilangan cacah pada kelas II SDN 1 Pagerageung. Kata Kunci: Keefektifan Media Congklak, Hasil Belajar, Pembagian Bilangan Cacah Abstract The background of this research is because the researcher wants to know how to improve mathematics learning outcomes about the concept of whole number division in class II SDN 1 Pagerageung, but there are still some of the students who have not been able to improve their learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to find out how effective the Congklak media is to improve student learning outcomes in whole number division material, besides that this media can also make it easier for students to solve problems related to whole number division which they consider complicated. The way the congklak media works is very simple, to solve the division problem, students only need to enter the congklak seeds into the holes according to the questions given by the teacher and count how many seeds are in all the holes. The use of this congklak media in the mathematics learning process in the classroom can eliminate the impression of mathematics which is complicated and difficult to understand. Because by utilizing this media students can directly explore knowledge and skills in arithmetic, make abstract material into concrete, and students enjoy learning because besides that they can also play. So that students become younger in understanding the material presented by the teacher. This research method uses classroom action research (CAR) which consists of two cycles and in each cycle includes planning, action, observation and reflection. The cycle stops when the target of success has been reached. The data collection instruments used are: learning outcomes test sheets, teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets, and interviews with class II teachers. The results showed that there was an increase in learning outcomes in each cycle. The increase is indicated by the average value of learning outcomes in the first cycle with an average value of 79% and in the second cycle there is an increase by obtaining an average value of 90%. So the results of this study can be concluded that by applying congklak media can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects about the concept of whole number division in class II SDN 1 Pagerageung.
