Abstract
Kemajuan PTS yang sangat pesat dari segi kuantitas tidak diimbangi dengan peningkatan kualitasnya, sehingga kondisi PTS menjadi tidak sehat. Harian Kompas memberitakan bahwa lebih dari 30% PTS terancam bangkrut atau ditutup akibat pertumbuhan jumlah PTS yang tidak terkendali, penyebab lainnya adalah PTN kini cenderung membuka jalur penerimaan mahasiswa secara khusus dan melebihi kuota sehingga kondisi PTS menjadi semakin terhimpit. Saat ini, rata-rata mahasiswa yang kuliah di tiap PTS kurang dan 600 orang, padahal PTS baru dapat dikatakan sehat jika memiliki minimal 2.000 mahasiswa. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan daya saing PTS lemah, selain juga dikontribusi oleh lemahnya kinerja PTS dan pencitraan PTS sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi yang berkualitas. Manajemen pengetahuan dan manajemen bakat sebagai praktik manajemen moderen merupakan solusi bagi PTS di Kota Bandung untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan pencitraan PTS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis bagaimana manajemen pengetahuan, manajemen bakat, kinerja organisasi, dan citra organisasi PTS di Kota Bandung, dan pengaruh diantara variabel-variabel tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan eksplanatori survei terhadap unit sampel sebesar 300 dosen yang didistribusikan secara proporsional ke Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (UNPAR), Universitas Kristen Maranatha (UKM), dan Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM). Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner, wawancara terbatas, dan observasi, yang disertai studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur dengan bantuan program SPSS 18.0 Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan adanya hubungan yang positif antara manajemen pengetahuan, manajemen bakat, kinerja organisasi, dan citra organisasi. Manajemen pengetahuan dan manajemen bakat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja organisasi sebesar 67,62%; Manajemen pengetahuan dan manajemen bakat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap citra organisasi sebesar 91,12%; dan Kinerja organisasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap citra organisasi sebesar 74,48%. Dengan demikian, apabila manajemen pengetahuan dan manajemen bakat mampu diimplementasikan dengan optimal, maka kinerja organisasi dan citra organisasi PTS di Kota Bandung akan semakin optimal. Currently, the average student who studied at each PTS less and 600 people, whereas the new private colleges can be said to be healthy if it has at least 2,000 students. These conditions lead to weak competitiveness of private colleges, but also contributed from the weak of private colleges performance and imaging as a quality institution of higher education. Knowledge management and talent management as the practice of modern management is the solution for private colleges in Bandung City to improve private colleges imaging and performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze how knowledge management, talent management, organizational performance, organizational image and performance of the private colleges in Bandung City, and influence among these variables. The research method used is descriptive and explanatory survey to 300 sample units that are propotional distributed to Parahyangan Catholic University, Maranatha Cristian University, and Indonesian Computer University. Research using a questionnaire instrument. Techniques of collecting data through questionnaires, limited interviews, and observation, coupled with the study documentation. Analysis using path analysis with the help of SPSS 18.00. Based on this research, we can conclude the existence of a positive relationship between knowledge management, talent management, organizational performance, and organizational image. Knowledge management and talent management have a significant effect on the organizational performance at 67.62%; Knowledge management and talent management have a significant effect on the organizational image at 91.12%; and organizational performance significantly influence the organizational image at 74.48%. Thus, when knowledge management and talent management can be implemented optimally, the organizational performance and organizational image of private colleges at bandung city will be more optimally.
