Analisis Kanal Youtube Asumsi Terhadap Literasi Politik
Mahasiswa UPI
Kurangnya minat politik dan rendahnya literasi politik dikalangan generasi milenial
menjadi suatu urgensi penting. media sosial youtube sebagai media populer yang
banyak di akses dan memberikan kemudahan berbagi informasi dan pengetahuan.
Salah satu kanal youtube yang memberikan edukasi mengenai politik yaitu kanal
youtube Asumsi dengan 1,046,000 jt subscriber dan 162.491.222 viewers dari 1000
lebih konten video yang telah dibagikan, berbagai playlist yang berisikan konten�konten mengenai isu-isu politik, dengan pembahasan dan penyajiannya berbeda
dari kanal lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis peran kanal
youtube asumsi terhadap literasi politik mahasiswa UPI. penelitian ini
menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif melalui teknik
pengumpulan data: wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian
menunjukan bahwa kanal youtube asumsi memiliki peran positif terhadap literasi
politik mahasiswa UPI karena bahasa yang mudah dipahami dan audio visual
menarik, memberikan pemahaman, pengetahuan dan awareness politik dalam
menentukan hak dan kewajibannya sebagai warga negara.
Kata Kunci : Kanal Youtube Asumsi, Literasi Politik Mahasiswa.
Lack of political interest and low political literacy among millennials is an
important urgency. social media youtube as a popular media that is widely accessed
and provides ease of sharing information and knowledge. One of the youtube
channels that provide education about politics is the assumption youtube channel
with 1,046,000 million subscribers and 162,491,222 viewers from more than 1000
video content that has been shared, various playlists containing content on political
issues, with discussion and presentation different from other channels. this study
aims to determine the analysis of the role of the assumption youtube channel on the
political literacy of UPI students. this study uses a qualitative approach with
descriptive methods through data collection techniques: interviews, observations
and documentation. the results showed that the assumption youtube channel has a
positive role in the political literacy of UPI students because the language is easy to
understand and attractive audio-visual, providing understanding, knowledge and
political awareness in determining their rights and obligations as citizens
