Abstract

Siswa gifted seharusnya memiliki potensi keterampilan penyesuaian sosial yang baik. Dibutuhkan peran orang tua, guru, Bimbingan dan Konseling untuk membantu memperbaiki permasalahan siswa gifted. Bimbingan dan Konseling dan pihak sekolah dapat membantu mengembangkan keterampilan dan memfasilitasi siswa gifted dalam penyesuaian sosial di lingkungan sekolah. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan profil penyesuaian sosial pada siswa gifted serta layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling yang implikatif berdasarkan profil penyesuaian sosial siswa gifted. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Penelitian ini melibatkan 2 orang siswa sekolah menengah atas di Noble Academy Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa gifted di Noble Academy cenderung mampu menghormati dan menerima otoritas di lingkungan sekolah (recognition) walaupun kedua siswa gifted masih kurang berkembang optimal dalam indikator berhubungan yang baik dan bersahabat dengan teman sekelas, guru, dan Bimbingan dan Konseling/psikolog , dan cenderung memiliki kemampuan participation yang tinggi pada indikator mampu berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan atau aktivitas sosial di sekolah dan mampu menyelesaikan masalah tanpa berselisih. Dari 3 indikator siswa memiliki masalah pada satu indikator yaitu : belum Mampu mengutarakan pendapat dan pikiran di kelompok. Akan tetapi siswa gifted di Noble Academy masih belum memiliki kemampuan social approval. Mereka cenderung mengalami masalah minat dan simpati terhadap kesejahteraan orang lain. Layanan konseling yang diberikan untuk meningkatkan penyesuaian sosial di sekolah tersebut masih kurang dikarenakan tidak adanya guru Bimbingan dan Konseling tetap di sekolah tersebut. Gifted students should have good potential social adjustment skills. It takes the role of parents, teachers, Guidance and Counseling to help fix the problems of gifted students. Guidance and Counseling and the school can help develop skills and facilitate gifted students in social adjustment in the school environment. The purpose of the study was to describe the social adjustment profile of gifted students and the implicative Guidance and Counseling services based on the social adjustment profile of gifted students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. This study involved 2 high school students at Noble Academy for the 2022/2023 academic year. The results show that gifted students at Noble Academy tend to be able to respect and accept authority in the school environment (recognition) even though both gifted students are still not optimally developed in indicators of good and friendly relationships with classmates, teachers, and Guidance and Counseling/psychologists, and tend to have high participation abilities on the indicator of being able to participate in activities or social activities at school and being able to solve problems without arguing. Of the 3 indicators students have problems on one indicator, namely: not yet able to express opinions and thoughts in groups. However, gifted students at Noble Academy still don't have social approval abilities. They tend to have problems with interest and sympathy for the welfare of others. The counseling services provided to improve social adjustment in the school are still lacking due to the absence of permanent teacher Guidance and Counseling at the school.
