Abstract

Ketika siswa dihadapkan pada soal cerita khususnya pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel, dan siswa tidak mampu menyelesaikannya secara langsung maka hal ini akan menjadi masalah bagi siswa itu sendiri. Berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu dan studi pendahuluan yang telah dilakukan, masih banyak siswa yang melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika kontekstual sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel. Faktor yang mempengaruhinya yaitu minat belajar dan gaya belajar siswa itu sendiri. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui letak kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dengan metode tes soal, angket dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian siswa merupakan kelas x sebanyak 23 siswa dan dipilih 9 siswa untuk diwawancarai, yang masing-masing terdiri atas 3 siswa dari setiap siswa memiliki minat berbeda dengan gaya belajar visual, auditorial, dan kinestetik. Analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu tahap pengumpulan data, tahap reduksi data, tahap penyajian data, dan tahap penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah melakukan kesalahan pada tahap memahami masalah, kesalahan pada tahap merencanakan penyelesaian, kesalahan pada tahap melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian, dan kesalahan pada tahap memeriksa kembali jawaban (2) Kesalahan ditinjau dari minat belajar tinggi cendrung melakukan kesalahan tahap merencanakan penyelesaian masalah , memeriksa kembali jawaban, minat belajar sedang cendrung melakukan kesalahan pada tahap melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian, minat belajar rendah cendrung melakukan kesalahan pada tahap memahami masalah (3) Kesalahan ditinjau gaya belajar visual, cendrung melakukan kesalahan pada tahap memahami masalah, gaya belajar auditorial cendrung melakukan kesalahan melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian, dan kinestetik cendrung melakukan kesalahan pada tahap memahami masalah (4) kesalahan ditinjau dari minat tinggi dengan gaya belajar visual, auditorial, dan kinestetik melakukan kesalahan pada tahap memeriksa kembali jawaban, minat belajar sedang dengan gaya belajar visual, auditorial dan kinestetik melakukan tahap melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian minat belajar rendah dengan gaya belajar visual, auditorial dan kinestetik melakukan kesalahan pada tahap memahami masalah. When students are faced with story problems, especially on the material of a three-variable system of linear equations, and students are not able to solve them directly, this will be a problem for the students themselves. Based on previous research and preliminary studies that have been carried out, there are still many students who make mistakes in solving contextual mathematical problems of a three-variable linear equation system. Factors that influence it are interest in learning and the student's own learning style. The purpose of this study was to determine the location of students' errors in solving problems. This research is a qualitative case study approach. Data collection with the method of test questions, questionnaires and interviews. The research subjects were 23 students in class x and 9 students were selected to be interviewed, each of which consisted of 3 students from each student having different interests with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. Data analysis was carried out, namely the data collection stage, the data reduction stage, the data presentation stage, and the conclusion drawing stage. The results showed that (1) Students in solving problems made mistakes at the stage of understanding the problem, errors at the stage of planning a solution, errors at the stage of implementing the completion plan, and errors at the stage of checking answers again (2) Errors in terms of high learning interest tend to make mistakes. the stage of planning problem solving, re-examining the answers, interest in learning is tending to make mistakes at the stage of implementing the completion plan, low interest in learning tends to make mistakes at the stage of understanding the problem (3) Errors in terms of visual learning styles, tend to make mistakes at the stage of understanding the problem, learning styles auditorial tends to make mistakes in carrying out the settlement plan, and kinesthetic tends to make mistakes at the stage of understanding the problem (4) errors in terms of high interest with visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic learning styles make mistakes at the checking stage Back to the answer, moderate learning interest with visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles carried out the stage of implementing the plan for solving low interest in learning with visual, auditorial and kinesthetic learning styles made mistakes at the stage of understanding the problem.
