    Abstract

    Masa dewasa awal merupakan tanda bahwa seseorang yang telah dewasa dapat memilih tujuan hidup yang telah dipilih dan menemukan kedudukan pada dirinya dalam kehidupan. Kesiapan menikah diasumsikan akan lebih dipikirkan oleh dewasa muda, karena menikah adalah salah satu tugas perkembangan masa dewasa muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran kesiapan menikah pada Mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode survei. Pastisipan pada penelitian ini yaitu Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dengan jumlah sampel 650 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu hasil adaptasi dari instrumen criteria for marriage readiness (Badger, 2005) berdasarkan teori Bob & Blood. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, mahasiswa perempuan memiliki tingkat kesiapan menikah tertinggi pada kategori secure dan avoidant, sedangkan pada kategori anxious laki-laki memiliki nilai tertinggi yang berarti mahasiswa laki-laki belum siap untuk menikah di usia muda.

    Early adulthood is a sign that someone who has matured can choose the life goals that have been chosen and find a place for himself in life. Readiness for marriage is assumed to be more considered by young adults, because marriage is one of the developmental tasks of young adulthood. This study aims to see the description of marriage readiness in Indonesian University of Education students. By using a quantitative approach and survey methods. The participants in this study were students of the Faculty of Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia with a total sample of 650 people. The instrument used is the adaptation of the criteria for marriage readiness instrument developed by Badger in 2005 based on the theory of Bob & Blood. The results showed that female students had the highest level of readiness for marriage in the secure and avoidant categories, while the male anxious category had the highest score, which means male students were not ready to marry at a young age.
