Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya perbedaan antara pelaksanaan pembelajaran seni musik di sekolah dasar negeri dengan sekolah dasar swasta khususnya yang berbasis keagamaan seperti Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu (SD IT). Di sekolah dasar negeri pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan menyampaikan pengetahuan juga melakukan praktik, sementara di sekolah dasar swasta khususnya Islam Terpadu hanya menyampaikan pengetahuan saja tanpa adanya praktik. Dilakukannya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kemampuan musikalitas siswa di sekolah dasar negeri dengan siswa di sekolah dasar swasta. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif komparatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara memberikan soal tes kemampuan musikalitas kepada siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan musikalitas siswa di sekolah dasar negeri memiliki nilai rata-rata 107.23. Dari 75 sampel, sebagian besar siswa memiliki kemampuan musikal. Kemudian hasil kemampuan musikalitas siswa di sekolah dasar swasta memiliki nilai rata-rata 106.05. Sebagian besar kemampuan musikalitasnya terkategori musikal dari pengambilan 75 sampel. Selanjutnya yaitu perbandingan kemampuan musikalitas antara keduanya berdasarkan hasil uji Independent Sample T-Test diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0.446>0.05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan musikalitas pada siswa di sekolah dasar negeri dengan siswa di sekolah dasar di Kota Tasikmalaya. Namun demikian nilai rata-rata kemampuan musikalitas pada siswa di sekolah dasar negeri lebih unggul dengan selisih 1.18. This research is motivated by the difference between the implementation of music learning in public elementary schools and private elementary schools, especially those based on religion such as the Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SD IT). In public elementary schools, learning is carried out by conveying knowledge as well as practicing, while in private elementary schools, especially Integrated Islam, only conveying knowledge without any practice. The purpose of this study was to compare the musical ability of students in public elementary schools with students in private elementary schools. The method used is descriptive comparative. This research was conducted by giving musical ability test questions to students. The results showed that the musical ability of students in public elementary schools had an average score of 107.23. From 75 samples, most of the students have musical ability. Then the results of the musical ability of students in private elementary schools have an average value of 106.05. Most of his musical abilities are categorized as musical from taking 75 samples. Furthermore, the comparison of musical ability between the two based on the results of the Independent Sample T-Test test obtained a significance value of 0.446> 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is no significant difference between the musical ability of students in public elementary schools and students in elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City. However, the average score of musical ability of students in public elementary schools is superior by a difference of 1.18.
