Abstract

Eka Martini (033300), "Pelaksanaan pengawasan dan pengaruhnya terhadap
kinerja karyawan PT. Galamedia Bandung Perkasa" di bawah bimbingan Prof. Dr.
Hj. Tjutju Yuniarsih, M.Pd. dan A. Jajang W. Mahri, Drs., M.Si.
Penelitian ini berangkat dari masalah adanya penurunan tingkat disiplin karyawan
PT. Galamedia Bandung Perkasa serta semakin menurunnya karyawan yang
mendapatkan penghargaan yang merupakan salah satu tolak ukur bagi perusahaan
untuk menilai kierja karyawannya. Hasil wawancara pra penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa kinerja karyawan PT. Galamedia Bandung Perkasa masih rendah.
Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penulis mengadakan penelitian mengenai pelaksanaan
pengawasan dan pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. Galamedia Bandung
Perkasa.
Objek penelitian yang menjadi variabel bebas yaitu pelaksanaan pengawasan pada
karyawan. Variabel terikat yaitu kinerja karyawan. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah
karyawan PT. Galamedia Bandung Perkasa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan
adalah metode survey explanatory. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 60
orang responden dengan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data yang
digunakan yaitu pengujian koefisien korelasi Pearson.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pengawasan yang dilakukan
pimpinan pada karyawan PT. Galamedia Bandung Perkasa berada pada kategori
tinggi, namun pada pernyataan pengawasan yang dilakukan pimpinan mencakup
seluruh bidang pekerjaan, pengawasan lebih difokuskan pada hasil pekerjaan dan
penerapan kebijakan dan peraturan yang sama terhadap seluruh karyawan masih
berada pada kategori sedang. Gambaran kinerja karyawan PT. Galamedia
Bandung Perkasa berada pada kategori tinggi, namun pada pernyataan lebih
mengutamakan hasil daripada proses, mampu membuat solusi alternatif ketika
menghadapi masalah dan mampu memelihara sikap terbuka dalam hubungan antar
individu masih berada pada kategori sedang. Pengaruh pelaksanaan pengawasan
terhadap kinerja karyawan menunjukkan tingkat korelasi yang kuat.
Saran penulis, pengawasan yang dilakukan pimpinan mencakup seluruh bidang
pekerjaan, pengawasan lebih difokuskan pada hasil pekerjaan dan penerapan
kebijakan dan peraturan yang sama terhadap seluruh karyawan perlu ditingkatkan
guna meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Upaya peningkatan kinerja karyawan dapat
juga dilakukan melalui program pendidikan, pelatihan maupun pengembangan
karyawan.

This research was begins the problem of low discipline level at PT Galamedia
Bandung Perkasa and also the decreasingly employees who get rewards as the
parameter ofthe company in order to estimate the employee's work. From the pre
research's interview result, we can see that the employee's performance of PT
Galamedia Bandung Perkasa still at the low level. Based on the problem, the
writer conducted aresearch concern controlling and the influence performance of
employee at PT. Galamedia Bandung Perkasa.
The research object which became the independent variable was the controlling
toward the employees. The dependent variable was the employees performance.
The objective of this research was the employees of PT Galamedia Bandung
Perkasa. The research method was used survey explanatory method. The samples
that were used amount 60 respondents with simple random technique. The data
analysis used was the pearson correlation coefficient test
The research result shows that the controlling wich was conducted by the head of
PT. Galamedia Bandung Perkasa's employees was on high category, but in some
cases such as the supervision over all work aspects, the supervisionfocuses more
on the work result and the application of policy and regulation toward all
employees still at the middle level The view of employees performance at PT.
Galamedia Bandung Perkasa has been at the high category, but in some cases
that concerns more on result's quality than process, able to make alternative
solutions when deals with problem and able to maintain opened attitude
individual relationship still at the middle category. The influence ofcontrolling
towards the employees performance shows the strong level ofcorrelation.
The writer's suggestion is that the controlling's conduction that is done by the
head ofcompanyover all work edges for instance, the supervision supposes get
focus more on the work result and the application of the same policies and
regulations over all employees still have to be increased in order to increase the
employees performance. The endeavor of increasing employees performance can
also be done through education programs, training and also employee's
development.
