Abstract

Segitiga adalah salah satu topik pada geometri yang banyak terhubung dengan topik lain, baik dalam maupun luar matematika. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebelumnya, segitiga menjadi salah satu topik yang bermasalah bagi siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh pengetahuan mengenai situasi didaktis selama pembelajaran, gambaran kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa, learning obstacles yang dihadapi siswa pada pembelajaran segitiga, serta merancang desain didaktis teoritik yang disusun berdasarkan learning obstacles dan indikator pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII pada salah satu Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan Didactical Design Research (DDR). Analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi analisis data pra-pembelajaran (tahap analisis prospektif), analisis data saat pembelajaran (tahap analisis metapedadidaktik) dan analisis data pasca-pembelajaran (tahap analisis retrospektif). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pembelajaran segitiga tidak terjadi situasi aksi, formulasi, dan validasi, akibatnya situasi institusionalisasi juga tidak dapat terlaksana. Sementara hasil analisis kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan rendah ada sebanyak 40,74% atau 11 dari 27 orang, siswa dengan kamampuan sedang ada sebanyak 15 orang atau 55,56%, sementara hanya 1 orang siswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang tinggi. Selain itu, terdapat potensi hambatan belajar siswa baik pada hambatan didaktis, epistemologis, serta ontogenik. Selanjutnya, disusun desain didaktis teoritik yang menekankan pada interaksi antara guru dengan siswa maupun antar siswa, serta penekanan terhadap aktivitas yang memfasilitasi siswa dalam mengkonstruksi pengetahuannya melalui situasi aksi, formulasi, validasi, dan institusionalisasi. Desain didaktis yang dirancang juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada topik segitiga. Didactical Design to Enhance of Mathematical Understanding Ability of Student in Grade VII on the Topic of Triangles. Triangle is one of the topics in geometry that is closely connected with other topics in mathematics and outside of mathematics. Based on the results of previous studies, it was shown that the triangle topic was one of the most problematic for students. The purpose of this study was to obtain knowledge about didactical situations during learning, describe students' mathematical understanding ability, learning obstacles faced by students, and to design hypothetical didactical designs based on learning obstacles and indicators of students' mathematical understanding ability. The subjects in this study were seventh grade students in one of the junior high schools in Padang Pariaman, West Sumatra. This research was qualitative with Didactical Design Research (DDR) design. Data analysis in this study includes pre-learning data analysis (prospective analysis), data analysis during learning (metapedadidactic analysis) and post-learning data analysis (retrospective analysis). The result of the research shows that in learning there are no action, formulation, and validation situations, as a result, the institutionalization situation also cannot be implemented. While the results of the analysis of students' ability to mathematical understanding showed that students with low abilities were 40.74% or 11 of 27 people, students with moderate abilities were 15 people or 55.56%, while only 1 of student had with height understanding mathematical ability. In addition, there are obstacles that faced by student in learning, there are didactical, epistemological, and ontogenical obstacles. Furthermore, a hypothetical didactical design was developed that emphasized the interaction between teachers and students as well as between students, as well as an emphasis on activities that facilitate students in constructing their knowledge through action, formulation, validation, and institutionalization situations. The designed didactical design is also expected to enhance students' mathematical understanding ability on the topic of triangles.
