Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh berbagai permasalahan dalam proses pembelajaran khususnya dalam materi menulis teks cerita pendek di SMA. Masalah yang ditemukan yakni siswa masih kesulitan untuk mengembangkan ide dalam menulis teks cerita pendek, selain itu penggunaan model pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru terlalu monoton dan tidak sesuai dengan karakteristik materi yang disampaikan, sehingga menyebabkan pembelajaran terkesan pasif. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengembangkan model pembelajaran Treffinger berbasis nilaipendidikan karakter pada pembelajaran menulis teks cerita pendek di SMA. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian Research and Development (R and D). Metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang digunakan merupakan adaptasi dari metode penelitian pengembangan 4-D yaitu define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Teknik observasi, wawancara, dan penyebaran angket digunakan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan peserta didik terhadap model Treffinger. Uji kelayakan model divalidasi oleh 8 ahli dengan skor rata-rata 83,63 kategori sangat layak. Keterpakaian model pembelajaran diperoleh dari respons guru dan siswa melalui penyebaran angket. Rata-rata tingkat respons guru adalah 57% menjawab sangat setuju, siswa menjawab 61% menjawab sangat setuju. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran Treffinger berbasis nilai pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerita pendek telah layak dan berhasil diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran, karena membuat guru lebih mudah dalam menyampaikan materi, serta membuat siswa lebih termotivasi dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Model Treffinger, Nilai Pendidikan Karakter, Menulis Teks Cerita Pendek. *** This research is motivated by various problems in the learning process, especially in the material for writing short story texts in high school. The problem found is that students still have difficulty developing ideas in writing short story texts, besides that the use of learning models used by teachers is too monotonous and does not match the characteristics of the material presented, causing learning to seem passive. The purpose of this study is to develop a Treffinger learning model based on the value of character education in learning to write short story texts in high school. This type of research is included in Research and Development (R and D) research. The research and development method used is an adaptation of the 4-D development research method, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate.Observation techniques, interviews, and questionnaire dissemination are used to determine the needs of learners for the Treffinger model. The feasibility test of the model was validated by 8 experts with an average score of 83.63 categories very feasible. The use of learning models is obtained from the responses of teachers and students through the dissemination of questionnaires. The average teacher response rate was 57% answered strongly agreeing, students answering 61% answered strongly agreeing. This shows that Treffinger's learning model based on the value of character education in learning to write short story texts has been feasible and successfully applied in the learning process, because it makes it easier for teachers to deliver material, and makes students more motivated in learning.
