Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh urgensi self-efficacy pada mahasiswa terutama mahasiswa calon guru bimbingan dan konseling yang kelak akan memberikan layanan kepada konseli. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kecenderungan self-efficacy mahasiswa calon guru bimbingan dan konseling secara keseluruhan maupun menurut setiap aspeknya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui keyakinan calon guru bimbingan dan konseling akan kemampuannya dalam memberikan layanan kelak. Partisipan penelitian yang terlibat dalam penelitian berjumlah 159 orang mahasiswa aktif Program Studi Sarjana Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia angkatan tahun 2018, 2019, 2020, dan 2021 dengan sampling menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Counseling Self-Efficacy Inventory yang diadaptasi dan didapatkan tingkat validitas bergerak dari 0,382 sampai 0,812 dan tingkat reliabilitas sebesar 0,947. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah kecenderungan self-efficacy mahasiswa calon guru bimbingan dan konseling sebanyak 57 orang mahasiswa berada pada tingkat sangat tinggi, 90 orang mahasiswa berada pada tingkat tinggi, dan 12 orang mahasiswa berada pada tingkat sedang. Rekomendasi diberikan terutama bagi Program Studi Sarjana Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia serta bagi peneliti selanjutnya. This research is motivated by the urgency of self-efficacy in college students, especially students who are prospective guidance and counseling teachers who will later provide services to counselees. The purpose of this study was to describe the tendency of self-efficacy of prospective guidance and counseling teacher students as a whole and according to each aspect. This study was conducted to determine the beliefs of prospective guidance and counseling teachers in their ability to provide services in the future. The research participants involved in the study amounted to 159 active students of the Bimbingan dan Konseling Undergraduate Study Program at the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia batch 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 by sampling using the convenience sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was the Counseling Self-Efficacy Inventory which was adapted and obtained a validity level ranging from 0.382 to 0.812 and a reliability level of 0.947. The findings of this study are the self-efficacy tendencies of prospective guidance and counseling teacher students as many as 57 students are at a very high level, 90 students are at a high level, and 12 students are at a moderate level. Recommendations are given especially for the Bimbingan dan Konseling Undergraduate Study Program at the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia as well as for further researchers.
