Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini ialah kekurangaktifan dan rendahnya pemahaman peserta ddik dalam pembelajaran, hal tersebut dikarenakan proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan teori saja tanpa membuat suatu modul, atau media yang melibatkan Siswa. Dengan demikian akan membuat Siswa lebih pasif, merasa bosan, dan cenderung bermain-main serta membuat keributan saat pembelajaran di berlangsung. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengulas penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Picture And Picture untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep ipa pada Siswa sekolah dasar. Desain penelitian yang digunakan selama penelitian ini yaitu metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dari Kemmis dan MC. Taggart. Penelitian ini berlangsung dari tahap pra tindakan dan tahap pelaksanaan tindakan yaitu siklus I dan siklus II, yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan/tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Untuk mendapatkan data dalam penelitian, peneliti menggunakan teknik observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang ditemukan berdasarkan hasil persentase tingkat pemahaman Siswa pada siklus I yaitu 56.25%, dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 87,5%. Sehingga pada penelitian ini peneliti simpulkan bahwasanya penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Picture And Picture terhadap materi IPA mendapati kenaikan pemahaman Siswa kelas V. ----- The background of this research is the inactivity and low understanding of students in learning, this is because the learning process is carried out with theory alone without making a module, or media that involves students. Thus it will make students more passive, feel bored, and tend to play around and make a fuss when learning is taking place. Therefore, this study aims to review the application of the picture and picture cooperative learning model to improve understanding of science concepts in elementary school students. The research design used during this research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method from Kemmis and MC. Taggart. This research took place from the pre-action stage and the action implementation stage, namely cycle I and cycle II, which consisted of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation/action, observation, and reflection. To get the data in the study, the researcher used the technique of observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The data found based on the results of the percentage level of understanding of students in the first cycle was 65%, and in the second cycle it increased to 82.6%. So that in this study the researchers concluded that the application of the picture and picture cooperative learning model to science material found an increase in the understanding of fourth grade students.
