Abstract

Penelitian ini berlatar belakang dari pandemi COVID-19 yang sudah mengalihkan sistem pembelajaran tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran online. Peralihan pembelajaran online ini membuat para pendidik terpaksa mengadopsi berbagai pendekatan teknologi agar tetap mendorong proses belajar siswa, termasuk dalam pembelajaran biologi yang harus dibuat dengan cara yang menyenangkan agar materi yang disampaikan tidak bersifat imajinatif. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai pengaruh penggunaan media Google Jamboard terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa kelas X pada materi dunia tumbuhan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental dengan desan penelitian pretest - post test control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari masing-masing 35 siswa pada kelas kontrol dan eksperimen dari salah satu Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kabupaten Garut. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari 25 butir soal pilihan ganda dengan lima opsi. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen 89,9 lebih besar dibandingkan dengan nilai posttest kelas kontrol 74,1. Berdasarkan nilai N-gain 0,76, persentase N-Gain 76% menyimpulkan pula bahwa penggunaaan media Google Jamboard dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi dunia tumbuhan dengan efektif hingga nilai pencapaian yang tinggi. Google Jamboard ini memiliki kelebihan merangsang terjadinya interaksi antara siswa dengan guru selama proses pembelajaran, selanjutnya siswa dan guru dapat berkolaborasi dan berdiskusi dengan menampilkan ide atau pemahaman mereka dengan memanfaatkan tools yang ada pada google jamboard. This research is based on the COVID-19 pandemic which has shifted the face-to-face learning system to online learning. The transition to online learning has forced educators to adopt various technological approaches in order to continue to encouraging the learning process of the student, including biology learning which must be made in a fun way so that the presented material is not imaginative. The purpose of this research is to obtain information about the effect of using Google Jamboard media on the mastery of concepts of 10th grade students in the world of plants material. The used method is Quasi Experimental with a pretest - post test control group design. The research sample consisted of 35 students each in the control and experimental classes from one of the senior high schools in Garut Regency. The instrument used consisted of 25 multiple choice questions with five options. The results showed that the posttest average value of the experimental class was 89.9, which was greater than the posttest value of the control class was 74.1. Based on the N-gain value of 0.76, the N-Gain percentage of 76% also concluded that the use of Google Jamboard media can increase students' mastery of concepts in the plant world material effectively to high score achievement. This Google Jamboard has the advantage of stimulating interaction between students and teachers during the learning process, then students and teachers can collaborate and discuss by displaying their ideas or understanding by utilizing the tools available on the Google Jamboard.
