Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perbedaan faktor lingkungan tempat tinggal, yaitu di desa dan di kota. Kedua tempat tersebut memiliki lingkungan yang berbeda. Di desa cenderung lebih tradisional sementara di kota sudah cukup tersentuh dengan berbagai modernisasi seperti teknologi, begitupun dengan lingkungan berkesenian salah satunya seni musik. Dilakukannya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kemampuan musikalitas anak usia dini yang tinggal di desa dan kemampuan musikalitas anak usia dini yang tinggal di kota. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif komparatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara memberikan soal tes kemampuan musikalitas kepada anak. Hasil penelitian berupa kemampuan musikalitas anak usia dini di desa dengan nilai rata-rata 55.25. Dari 60 sampel, terdapat sebagian besar memiliki kemampuan cukup musikal. Kemudian hasil kemampuan musikalitas anak usia dini di kota memiliki nilai rata-rata 61.63 sebagian besar kemampuan musikalitas anak terkategori cukup musikal dari pengambilan 60 sampel. Selanjutnya yaitu perbandingan kemampuan musikalitas antara keduanya berdasarkan hasil uji beda menggunakan mann whitney diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,002<0.05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan musikalitas antara anak usia dini yang tinggal di desa dengan anak usia dini yang tinggal di kota. Kata Kunci: Anak Usia Dini, Kemampuan Musikalitas, Lingkungan ABSTRACT This research is motivated by differences in living environment factors, namely in the village and in the city. The two places have different environments. In the village it tends to be more traditional, while in the city it is quite touched by various modernizations such as technology, as well as the artistic environment, on of which is music. The purpose of this study was to compare the musical ability of early childhood living in the village and the musical ability of early childhood living in the city. The method used is descriptive comparative. This research was conducted by giving musical ability test questions to children. The results of the study were the musical ability of early childhood in the village with an average value of 55.25. Of the 60 samples, most of them have moderate musical ability. Then the result of the musical ability of early childhood in the city have an average value of 60.63 most of the musical abilities of children are categorized as musical enough from taking 60 samples. Further, a comparative ability of musicality between the two based on the different results of mann whitney obtained value of 0.002<0.05 and thus it can be concluded that there is a difference in musical ability between early childhood living in the village and early childhood living in the city.
