Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh reward dan punishment terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 2 Cipaisan Kabupaten Purwakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik sampling total. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 40 siswa dari siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket yang disebarkan kepada siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan variabel reward terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas V. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai t-hitung > t-tabel yaitu 3.404 > 2.024, nilai sig. 0.002 < 0.05 artinya hipotesis dalam penelitian ini Ha diterima Ho ditolak. (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan variabel punishment terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas V. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai t-hitung > t-tabel yaitu 2.570 > 2.024, nilai sig. 0.014 < 0.05 artinya hipotesis dalam penelitian ini Ha diterima Ho ditolak. (3) Terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan secara parsial (terpisah) variabel reward dan punishment terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas V. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai t-hitung > t-tabel yaitu Reward dengan 3.180 > 2.024, nilai sig. 0.003 < 0.05. Punishment dengan 2.319 > 2.024, nilai sig. 0.026 < 0.05 dan terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan secara simultan (bersama-sama) variabel reward dan punishment terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas V. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai f-hitung > f-tabel yaitu 9.151 > 3.251, nilai sig. 0.001 < 0.05 artinya hipotesis dalam penelitian ini Ha diterima Ho ditolak. ----- This study aims to determine the effect of reward and punishment on students' learning motivation. This research was conducted at SDN 2 Cipaisan, Purwakarta Regency. The method used in this research is survey research. Sampling was done by using the total sampling technique. The research sample was 40 students in fifth-grade students. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire distributed to students. The results of the study indicate that: (1) There is a positive and significant effect of the reward variable on the learning motivation of class V students. This is evidenced by the value of t-count > t-table, namely 3.404 > 2.024, the value of sig. 0.002 < 0.05 means that the hypothesis in this study Ha is accepted, and Ho is rejected. (2) There is a positive and significant effect of the punishment variable on the learning motivation of class V students. This is evidenced by the value of t-count > t-table, namely 2.570 > 2.024, the value of sig. 0.014 <0.05 means that the hypothesis in this study Ha is accepted, and Ho is rejected. (3) There is a positive and significant influence partially (separately) the reward and punishment variable on the learning motivation of class V students. This is evidenced by the value of t-count > t-table, namely Reward with 3.180 > 2.024, the value of sig. 0.003 < 0.05. Punishment with 2.319 > 2.024, sig. 0.026 < 0.05 and there is a positive and significant effect simultaneously (together) reward and punishment variables on the learning motivation of class V students. This is evidenced by the value of f-count > f-table which is 9.151 > 3.251, and the value of sig. 0.001 < 0.05 means that the hypothesis in this study Ha is accepted, and Ho is rejected.
