Abstract

Masa transisi remaja ke dewasa atau rentang usia 17-25 tahun merupakan fase eksplorasi dan ketidakstabilan diri. Pada fase ini seseorang memiliki kecenderuangan yang tinggi untuk mengalami krisis seperempat abad. Krisis seperempat abad biasanya ditandai oleh reaksi-reaksi dalam emosi individu seperti frustrasi, panik, merasa tak berdaya, dan merasa
tidak memiliki tujuan hidup. Terlebih apabila hal ini terjadi pada Generasi Z yang memiliki kerentanan depresi lebih tinggi dimana hanya 45% Generasi Z yang melaporkan kesehatan
mental dengan kategori baik. Buku bantuan diri merupakan suatu media yang digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah pribadi atau emosional seseorang tanpa bantuan profesional.
Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk merancang sebuah aplikasi bantuan diri berbasis android yang dapat digunakan Generasi Z dalam fase transisi remaja ke dewasa untuk membantu
mengatasi krisis seperempat abad. Perancangan aplikasi dilakukan karena lebih sesuai dengan karakteristik Generasi Z yang merupakan digital natives atau penutur asli digital
karena Generasi Z lahir di tengah munculnya kecanggihan teknologi. Metode yang dilakukan menggunakan Multimedia Development Lifecycle (MDLC) dari Luther dengan pengujian menggunakan black box testing. Pada penelitian yang dilakukan aplikasi berhasil dirancang dan berhasil melalui tahapan pengujian black box testing dengan hasil seluruh
input menghasilkan output sesuai yang diharapakan

The transition period from adolescence to adulthood or the age range of 17-25 years is a phase of self-exploration and instability. In this phase a person has a high tendency to experience a quarter life crisis. Quarter life crisis are usually also marked by reactions in individual emotions such as frustration, panic, feeling helpless, and feeling that there is no purpose in life. Especially if this happens to Generation Z who have a higher vulnerability to depression where only 45% of Generation Z report mental health in a good category. A self-help book is a medium used to deal with a person's personal or emotional problems without professional help. The purpose of this research is to design an android-based self-help application that can be used by Generation Z in the adolescent-to-adult transition phase to help overcome the crisis of a quarter life. The application design is carried out because it is more in line with the characteristics of Generation Z who are digital natives or digital native speakers because Generation Z was born in the midst of the emergence of technological sophistication. The method used is the Multimedia Development Lifecycle (MDLC) from Luther by testing using black box testing. In the research conducted, the application was successfully designed and successfully passed the black box testing stage with the results of all inputs producing outputs as expected.
