Abstract
Pembelajaran di abad 21 menekankan pada pembekalan keterampilan khususnya literasi sains untuk bersaing dalam menghadapi era globalisasi. Kemampuan literasi sains dapat dilatihkan kepada siswa melalui kegiatan pembelajaran, salah satunya yakni dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inquiry dengan pendekatan STEM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry-STEM terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada materi usaha dan energi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA salah satu SMA di Kota Bandung dan sampel dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Kelas X MIPA 1 berjumlah 25 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diterapkan model pembelajaran inquiry dengan pendekatan STEM, dan kelas X MIPA 2 berjumlah 21 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol yang diterapkan model pembelajaran inquiry saja. Kemampuan literasi sains diukur menggunakan instrumen tes literasi sains dengan jumlah soal sebanyak 15 butir pilihan ganda beralasan tertutup dan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran diukur melalui lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil uji hipotesis terhadap nilai posttest menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran inquiry dengan pendekatan STEM berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains pada kelas eksperimen berada pada kategori sedang lebih unggul dari kelas kontrol yang berada pada kategori rendah. Selain itu, hasil observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran inquiry-STEM menunjukkan pada kategori hampir seluruhnya terlaksana. Students can be trained in scientific literacy skills through learning activities, one of which is the application of the inquiry learning model using the STEM approach. This study aims to determine the effect of the inquiry-STEM learning model on students' scientific literacy skills in the topic of work and energy. This study used a quasi-experimental method with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was students of class X MIPA, one of the high school in Bandung city and the sample was selected by simple random sampling technique. The total of class X MIPA 1 was 25 students as the experimental class who applied the inquiry learning model using STEM, and class X MIPA 2 was 21 students as the control group that applied inquiry learning only. Scientific literacy ability was measured using the scientific literacy test instrument with a total of 15 multiple-choice questions with closed reasons and learning implementation was measured by a learning implementation observation sheet. The results of hypothesis testing on the post-test value show that an inquiry learning model with a STEM approach has the effect of improving students' scientific literacy skills. Based on the data obtained, the increase in scientific literacy skills in the experimental group is in the medium category, which is superior to the control group that falls in the low category. In addition, the results of observations on the implementation of inquiry-STEM learning show that almost all of them have been implemented. Keywords: Inquiry; STEM approach; Scientific Literacy
