Abstract
Keterampilan berbicara sangat penting dimiliki oleh anak dan harus terstimulus dengan baik. Sebab, berbicara merupakan suatu alat untuk mengekspresikan, menyatakan, menyampaikan, mengkomunikasikan pikiran, ide maupun perasaan. Pada saat dilapangan masih banyak anak yang perbendaharaan katanya sangat terbatas, sehingga anak tersebut kurang mampu mengungkapkan gagasan atau ide ketika menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan dari guru. Maka dari itu, harus adanya upaya yang dilakukan agar keterampilan berbicara anak dapat teroptimal dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan keterampilan berbicara anak di salah satu sekolah di Kab. Purwakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (classroom action research) yang dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus. Adapun partisipan yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelompok B yang berjumlah 9 siswa diantaranya 4 anak prempuan dan 5 anak laki-laki. Pemilihan subjek penelitian tersbeut didasari oleh sebuah permasalahan disekolah terkait aspek berbicara anak Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar obervasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sebuah perbaikan keterampilan berbicara anak yang terjadi pada siklus ke 2. Media boneka tangan sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara anak. ----- Speaking skills are very important for children and must be stimulated properly. Because, speaking is a tool to express, state, convey, communicate thoughts, ideas and feelings. In the field, there are still many children whose vocabulary is very limited, so that these children are less able to express ideas or ideas when answering questions from the teacher. Therefore, efforts must be made so that children's speaking skills can be optimized properly. This study aims to optimize children's speaking skills in one of the schools in Kab. Purwakarta. This study uses the Classroom Action Research method which was carried out in two cycles. The participants used were group B students, totaling 9 students including 4 girls and 5 boys. The selection of the research subject was based on a problem at school related to aspects of children's speech. The instruments used were observation sheets and tests. The results showed an improvement in children's speaking skills that occurred in the second cycle. Hand puppet media was very effective in improving children's speaking skills.
