Abstract

Model pembelajaran berfungsi sebagai pedoman bagi para perancang pembelajaran dan para guru dalam merencanakan aktivitas belajar mengajar. Model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning memberikan siswa agar berpikir terkait suatu permasalah dan kemudian masalah tersebut diselesaikan dengan menggunakan penyelesaian yang benar. Dengan demikian dapat membantu siswa untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan Matching Pretest post-test Control Group Design. Adapun sampel yang diambil dari populasi diambil dari seluruh populasi sebanyak 40 orang dari kelas IV SD Negeri Buah Gede. Instrumen tes yang digunakan berupa soal dan instrument non tes berupa angket. Analisis data dengan pengujian normalitas dan homogenitas sebagai uji prasyarat untuk kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Model Problem Based Learning efektif untuk digunakan dalam meningkatkan pemecehan masalah matematis siswa dan respon siswa memberi tanggapan yang baik terhadap penggunaan model Problem Based Learning. Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, pemecahan masalah. The learning model serves as a guide for learning designers and teachers in planning teaching and learning activities. Problem Based Learning learning model provides students to think about a problem and then the problem is solved using the correct solution. This it can help students to optimize problem solving skills in students. The method used is an experiment with Matching Pretest post-test Control Group Design. The samples taken from the population were taken from the entire population of 40 people from class IV SD Negeri Buah Gede. The test instrument used in the form of questions and non-test instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis by testing normality and homogeneity as a prerequisite test for the experimental group and control group. Problem Based Learning model is effective to be used in improving students' mathematical problem solving and student responses give good responses to the use of Problem Based Learning model.
