Abstract
ABSTRAK Keterampilan berpikir kritis sebagai salah satu keterampilan abad 21 yang diperlukan tidak hanya dapat mendukung dalam proses pembelajaran, tetapi juga dapat mengarahkan siswa dalam kehidupan teknologi yang terus berkembang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji efektivitas metode dialog sokratik dalam bimbingan kelompok untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian true-experimental dengan pretest-posttest equivalen group design. Instrumen CCTT Level X digunakan untuk mengetahui skor keterampilan berpikir kritis sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi metode dialog sokratik dalam bimbingan kelompok. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 8 SMP di Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat. Dilakukan dengan menggunakan probability random sample dengan tipe simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan dengan metode dialog sokratik berpengaruh dalam pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, namun efektivitasnya masih berada pada kategori kurang efektif. Penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat untuk Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling serta peneliti selanjutnya yang memiliki ketertarikan dalam pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. ABSTRACT Critical thinking skills as one of the 21st century skills that are needed. Not only support the learning process, but can also direct students in the life of technology that continues to develop. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the socratic dialogue method in group guidance to develop students' critical thinking skills. This research is a true-experimental study with a pretest-posttest equivalent group design. The CCTT Level X instrument was used to determine the score of critical thinking skills before and after being given the intervention of the socratic dialogue method in group guidance. The partisipans of this research is the 8th grade students of SMP in Kabupaten Bandung, West Java. Sampling was done by using a probability random sample with simple random sampling type. The results of this study indicate that guidance with socratic dialogue method has an effect on the development of critical thinking skills, but its effectiveness is still in the less effective category. This research can be useful for counselors and future researchers who have an interest in developing students' critical thinking skills.
