Abstract
This research is motivated by the problem of the lack of media that functions to improve the fine motor skills of children 4-5 years old, this is due to the limited knowledge possessed by teachers, which causes the child to lose focus when studying. The purpose of this research is to develop spider webs media to facilitate fine motor development of children aged 4-5 years according to the needs of the field. This research is based on the results of preliminary studies and literature studies that have been carried out by researchers regarding the lack of learning that facilitates fine motor development aged 4-5 years. So the researchers designed and compiled learning media according to their needs. Researchers compiled and designed learning media, namely spider webs media to facilitate the development of fine motor skills for children aged 4-5 years. The research method used is the development of the EDR (Educational Design Research) design by McKenney and Reeves. There are 4 stages in it, namely the Analysis and Exploration stage; stage of Design and Construction (Design and Construction); stage of Evaluation and Reflection (Evaluation and Reflection); and Product Eligibility Stage. Research data collection techniques are observation, interviews, questionnaires and expert validation. The instrument was validated by media experts, materials experts and pedagogic experts. After carrying out internal validation, external validation was carried out by conducting two trials at TK Pertiwi DWP. In general, spider webs media products to facilitate the development of fine motor skills for children aged 4-5 years have been successfully developed and are suitable for use in learning activities at the Early Childhood Education level.
