Abstract
Penelitian ini berfokus pada studi kasus permasalahan learning loss yang dialami siswa kelas V sekolah dasar akibat pembelajaran jarak jauh di masa pandemi Covid-19. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk dapat mengungkap fenomena learning loss yang sedang terjadi di dunia pendidikan dengan harapan penelitian ini bermanfaat untuk kepentingan kemajuan pembelajaran siswa, khususnya siswa di sekolah dasar untuk masa yang akan datang terutama pasca pandemi agar tidak menghasilkan generasi tertinggal. Pada penelitian ini, menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Partisipan adalah siswa dan guru kelas V. Metodologi pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi,wawancara dan dokumentasi.Tahap analisis data pada data penelitian ini adalah analisis data kualitatif untuk mengungkap hasil dari studi kasus learning loss. Selanjutnya, menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif untuk menghitung persentase nilai rata rata siswa dari sebelum pandemi dan sesudah pandemi. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan adanya berbagai macam bentuk learning loss pada siswa. Siswa mengalami penurunan kualitas pembelajaran karena faktor kesenjangan akses belajar, kehilangan kesempatan belajar, penurunan prestasi belajar dikarenakan kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi dan adanya masalah psikologis dan psikososial. Dalam permasalahan learning loss ini, upaya guru sangat berperan bagi peningkatan kualitas siswa. This research focuses on case studies of learning loss problems experienced by fifth grade elementary school students due to distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to uncover the phenomenon of learning loss that is happening in the world of education with the hope that this research will be useful for the benefit of student learning progress, especially students in elementary schools for the future, especially post-pandemic so as not to produce a left behind generation. In this study, using a qualitative research approach with a case study method. The participants were students and teachers of class V. The methodology of data collection was carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis stage in this research data was qualitative data analysis to reveal the results of the learning loss case study. Furthermore, using quantitative data analysis to calculate the percentage of students' average scores from before the pandemic and after the pandemic. The results of the study describe the existence of various forms of learning loss in students. Students experience a decrease in the quality of learning due to the gap in access to learning, loss of learning opportunities, decreased learning achievement due to lack of student understanding of the material and psychological and psychosocial problems. In this learning loss problem, the teacher's efforts play a very important role in improving the quality of students.
