Abstract
This research was conducted based on the students' opinion that speaking skill is a difficult skill. Speaking skills must be in harmony with communication skills. So, when speaking skills are good, indirectly communication skills are also good. This research is intends to determine the effect of the station rotation model on students' speaking and communication skills, to see the differences in the improvement of students' speaking and communication skills between the station rotation model and the conventional model, and to determine the relationship between students' speaking and communication skills. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The research population was all fourth grade students in Tarogong Kidul sub-district, Garut district. The research sample was the fourth grade students of SDN 1 Tarogong Kidul as the experimental class and SDN 2 Tarogong Kidul as the control class. The instruments of this research are speaking skill test, communication skill questionnaire, observation sheet, and documentation. The results of this study are divided into three parts, namely (1) the station rotation model has an effect on the speaking and communication skills of fourth grade students, (2) the station rotation model is significantly better in improving the fourth grade students' speaking and communication skills, and ( 3) There is a relationship between students' speaking and communication skills in the experimental class.
