Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul “Peranan K.H. Ahmad Rahmat Mustofa dalam mengembangkan Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Hasanah Kecamatan Sukasari Kabupaten Sumedang (1988-2015)”. Permasalahan utama yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini ialah bagaimana peran K.H. Ahmad Rahmat Mustofa dalam mengembangkan Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Hasanah di Kecamatan Sukasari Kabupaten Sumedang, perubahan pola pendidikan yang terjadi pada masa kepemimpinannya, serta dampak-dampak yang ditimbulkan Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Hasanah bagi masyarakat sekitar. Permasalahan tersebut dikaji dengan metode historis yang terdiri dari empat langkah yakni heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Berdasarkan hasil temuan penelitian, pada masa kepemimpinan K.H. Ahmad Rahmat Mustofa, Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Hasanah mengalami banyak perubahan seperti peningkatan jumlah dan kualitas sarana prasarana, perubahan sistem kepemimpinan pesantren yang mulanya individu menjadi kepemimpinan kolektif, hingga penambahan sistem pendidikan formal dan modern di pondok pesantren. Perubahan pola pendidikan Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Hasanah menuju modern disebabkan karena adanya tuntutan masyarakat yang membutuhkan ijazah yang lebih diakui jika putra-putrinya lulus dan terjun dalam masyarakat, dimana pesantren tradisional umumnya mengabaikan hal tersebut. Kehadiran Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Hasanah membawa dampak yang baik bagi masyarakat sekitar terutama dalam bidang sosial, agama, dan pendidikan. Dampak-dampak tersebut diantaranya seperti meningkatkan gotong royong, religiusitas, dan taraf pendidikan masyarakat sekitar. This thesis is entitled “The role of K.H. Ahmad Rahmat Mustofa in developing the Miftahul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School, Sukasari District, Sumedang Regency (1988-2015)”. The main problem studied in this research is how the role of K.H. Ahmad Rahmat Mustofa in developing Miftahul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School in Sukasari District, Sumedang Regency, changes in education patterns that occurred during his leadership, as well as the impacts that Miftahul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School had on the surrounding community. The problem is studied using the historical method, which consists of four steps: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Meanwhile, the technique used to review this research was conducted through interviews, documentation studies, and literature studies. Based on the research findings, during the leadership of K.H. Ahmad Rahmat Mustofa, Miftahul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School underwent many changes such as increasing the number and quality of infrastructure, changes in the pesantren leadership system from individual to collective leadership, the addition of a formal and modern education system in Islamic boarding schools. The change in the education pattern of the Miftahul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School towards a modern one is due to the demands of the community who need a diploma that is more recognized if their children graduate and enter the community, whereas traditional pesantren generally ignore this. The presence of the Miftahul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School has a good impact on the surrounding community, especially in the social, religious, and educational fields. These impacts include increasing cooperation, religiosity, and the community’s education level.
