Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh dominannya nilai-nilai sosial yang terkandung dalam novel Debu dalam Angin yang dapat dijadikan bahan refleksi diri bagi para pembaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur pembangun cerita novel, nilai-nilai sosial yang termuat dalam novel, dan pemanfaatan hasil analisis sebagai rancangan bahan ajar apresiasi sastra untuk kelas XII SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan sosiologi sastra dengan sumber data novel Debu dalam Angin karya Pratiwi Juliani. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa melalui alur novel ini menyajikan konflik utama yang dialami Salvador sebagai tokoh utama dengan kehidupan masa lalunya sehingga ia harus bekerja sebagai buruh yang membangun jalan layang di sebuah delta yang menjadi latar tempat paling dominan dalam novel ini. Gaya penceritaan disajikan melalui perspektif pengarang yang bersifat mahatau serta penceritaan yang dipilih berjenis gaya langsung, gaya tak langsung, dan ujaran yang diceritakan. Urutan waktu yang terdapat dalam novel ini terdiri atas waktu fiksi, waktu wacana, retrospeksi, prospeksi, pause atau perhentian, serta frekuensi. Adapun nilai-nilai sosial yang dimiliki novel ini berupa pengabdian, tolong menolong, kekeluargaan, kesetiaan, kepedulian, rasa memiliki, empati, dan kerja sama. Hasil analisis dimanfaatkan sebagai rancangan bahan ajar apresiasi sastra di SMA berupa modul berbasis digital yang berisi sampul depan dan kelengkapannya, pendahuluan, materi pembelajaran, evaluasi, tindak lanjut, informasi pendukung, daftar pustaka, dan profil penyusun. This research is motivated by the dominant social values contained in the novel Debu dalam Angin which can be used as material for self-reflection for the readers. This study aims to describe the structure of the novel story builder, the social values contained in the novel, and the use of the results of the analysis as a design for literary appreciation teaching materials for high school. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and sociological approach to literature with the data source of the novel Debu dalam Angin by Pratiwi Juliani. The results of this study found that the plot of this novel presents the main conflict experienced by Salvador as the main character with his past life so that he has to work as a laborer who builds an overpass in a delta which is the setting of the most dominant place in this novel. The style of storytelling is presented through the perspective of the author who is omniscient and the selected narratives are in the type of direct style, indirect style, and the utterances that are told. The time sequence contained in this novel consists of fictional time, discourse time, retrospect, prospecting, pause, and frequency. The social values of this novel are in the form of devotion, help, kinship, loyalty, caring, belonging, empathy, and cooperation. The results of the analysis are used as the design of literary appreciation teaching materials in high school in the form of digital-based modules containing the front cover and its completeness, introduction, learning materials, evaluation, follow-up, supporting information, bibliography, and compiler profiles.
