Abstract
Bioteknologi merupakan salah satu disiplin ilmu yang relatif sulit tetapi berkembang sangat kompleks serta seringkali menimbulkan perdebatan di berbagai area. Penguasaan siswa yang rendah terhadap ilmu tersebut, mungkin disebabkan kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam membelajarkan bioteknologi di sekolah sehingga diperlukan penyiapan guru yang lebih matang di bidang ini.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan dan menemukan program yang efektif dapat membekalkan Pedagogical Content Knowledge/PCK Bioteknologi melalui perkuliahan Kapita Selekta Biologi SMA bagi calon guru Biologi. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research & Development dengan langkah: studi pendahuluan, perancangan & pengembangan program, uji coba program serta implementasi program. Sejumlah mahasiswa program Pendidikan Biologi pada semester lima dan enam peserta mata kuliah Kapita Selekta biologi SMA di suatu LPTK, terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Materi-materi terkait bioteknologi yang diberikan untuk pembekalan PCK Bioteknologi meliputi Virus & Monera, Biologi Sel, Materi Genetik, Hereditas dan Bioteknologi. Data berupa tes PCK dan tes konsep, peta konsep (PtK), praRPP dan argumentasinya, skenario dan simulasi pembelajaran, lembar observasi, dan angket. Efektivitas program diukur dengan membandingkan nilai rata-rata N-gain tes PCK Bioteknologi dengan nilai rata-rata N-gain tes PCK konsep-konsep sebelumnya dan membandingkan nilai rata-rata N-gain tes konsep Bioteknologi dengan nilai rata-rata N-gain tes konsep-konsep sebelumnya (Virus & Monera, Bio Sel, Materi Genetik dan Hereditas). Pengujian perbedaan N-gain masing-masing nilai, menggunakan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran efektivitas program dan analisis hasil-hasil penugasan dalam program pembekalan yang diberikan, dapat dinyatakan bahwa program Pembekalan Pedagogical Content Knowledge Bioteknologi (P2CKBiotek) melalui perkuliahan Kapita Selekta Biologi SMA yang dikembangkan, secara efektif dapat membekalkan PCK Bioteknologi bagi calon guru Biologi dan direspons positif oleh mahasiswa calon guru. Pengembangan program menghasilkan struktur program P2CKBiotek terdiri dari kegiatan pendahuluan, penugasan (pembuatan Peta Konsep, PraRPP + argumentasi, skenario dan simulasi mengajar), pengajuan pertanyaan tertulis, perkuliahan, presentasi tugas dan diskusi, perbaikan & pengumpulan tugas final serta pre tes dan pos tes. Program P2CKBiotek bermanfaat bagi mahasiswa untuk membantu menguasai materi, meningkatkan kemampuan menguasai dan menerapkan pedagogi, meningkatkan motivasi dan memantapkan kemampuan mengintegrasikan pengetahuan konsep dan pengetahuan pedagodi menjadi kemampuan PCK. Biotechnology is one discipline that is relatively hard but is also a science that develops highly complex and controversial in many areas. Low ability of student to mastery biotechnology, very probably due to lack of teacher ability in teach this science, so that the necessary preparation of teachers who are more mature in this area. The purpose of this research is to develop and find an effective program to mastery Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) Biotechnology through lectures Kapita Selekta Biologi SMA for prospective Biology teachers. Research and Development method used in this study with consist of preliminary studies, design & development programs, test programs and implementation program. The subjects research is a number of students of Biology Education program at five and six semester participants of Kapita Selekta Biologi SMA. Materials related Biotechnology given to debriefing PCK Biotechnology includes Viruses & Monera, Cell Biology, Genetics material, Heredity and Biotechnology. The data consist of PCK test and concept tes, concept maps (PtK), praRPP and arguments, secenarios and simulation of learning, observation sheets and questionnairs.Program effectiveness is measured by comparing the average value of N-gain test PCK Biotechnology with the average value of N-gain test PCK previous concepts and comparing the average value of N-gain test concept of Biotechnology with the average value of N-gain test concepts previously (Viruses & Monera, Genetic materials, and heredity). t test used to examine the differences of N-gain. Based on the results of measuring the effectiveness of programs and analysis of the results assignment, it can be stated that the debriefing program P2CKBiotek through Kapita Selekta Biologi SMA,effectively debriefing PCK Biotechnology for prospective teachers and responded positively. The structure program of P2CKBiotech consisting of preliminary activities, assignments (Concept Map-making, PraRPP + argument, scenario and simulation), written questions, lectures, presentations task and discussion, repair & collecting the final task as well as pre test and post test. P2CKBiotek programs is useful for student to help mastery of concepts, improve the ability to mastery and apply the pedagogy, improve motivation and strengthen the ability to integrate subject matter knowledge and pedagogical knowledge into capabilities of PCK.
