Adi Guntari (2014). Studi Eksplorasi Minat Siswa SMK di Kota Bandung (Penelitian Deskriptif pada Siswa SMK Negeri Program Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan di Kota Bandung). Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Mesin. FPTK-UPI. Pendidikan menengah terbagi menjadi dua yang mana keduanya memiliki kurikulum berbeda yaitu SMA/MA dan SMK/MK. Pendidikan menengah SMA/MA difokuskan untuk siswa yang memiliki minat untuk studi lanjut ke perguruan tinggi, sedangkan pendidikan menengah SMK/MK difokuskan untuk siswa yang memiliki minat untuk bekerja di industri sesuai dengan bidang yang dipilihnya. Minat yang dimiliki siswa berbeda-beda dan bahkan dapat berubah karena faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minatnya. SMK/MK yang memiliki kurikulum yang fokus pada menyiapkan siswa siap kerja, ternyata tidak seluruhnya siswa SMK/MK yang memiliki minat untuk bekerja. Hal ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dilakukan penelitian tentang eksplorasi besar minat siswa SMK terhadap minat bekerja, melanjutkan sudi, dan berwirausaha, beserta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dimana bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran nyata tentang masalah atau keadaan yang ada pada masa sekarang. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 250 responden siswa di SMKN 6 Bandung dan SMKN 8 Bandung. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan angket yang ditujukan kepada siswa untuk mendapatkan data mengenai minat siswa untuk bekerja, melanjutkan studi, berwirausaha, dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Hasil pengolahan, analisis, dan pengujian data maka diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: (1) Besar minat siswa untuk bekerja di industri sebanyak 40,16% (kurang dari setengahnya); (2) Besar minat siswa untuk melanjutkan studi sebanyak 35,83% (sebagian kecil); (3) Besar minat siswa untuk berwirausaha sebanyak 24,01% (sebagian kecil); (4) Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap minat siswa SMK yaitu; faktor dari dalam individu, faktor ekonomi, faktor keluarga, faktor lingkungan, faktor pendidikan, dan faktor sosial. Kata Kunci: Minat, siswa SMK, bekerja di industri, melanjutkan studi, berwirausaha. \ Senior high school is divided into two SMA/MA and SMK/MK. SMA/MA focused on students who have an interests for further studies to college, while SMK/MK focused on students who have interests to work in the industry according to his major. Interests which owned by students are different and even can change due to factors that affect their interests. SMK/MK which has a curriculum that focuses on preparing students ready for work, it was not entirely SMK/MK students who have interests to work. This can be affected by factors that affecting interests. Based on this, do research about interests exploration in SMK students to the working interests, continuing studies, and entrepreneurship, as well as the factors that influence it. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative approach, which aims to obtain a real description about the problem or circumstances that exist at the present time. This research was conducted to 250 students at SMKN 6 Bandung and SMKN 8 Bandung. Data collecting in this research by using a questionnaire addressed to the students to obtain the data about student interests to work, to continuing studies, to be entrepreneurship, and the factors that influence it. The results of the processing, analysis, and examination the data, it obtained the following results: (1) The quantity of student interests to work in the industry is 40,16% (less than half); (2) The quantity of student interests to continue their studies is 35,83% (fraction); (3) The quantity of student interests to entrepreneurship is 24,01% (fraction); (4) The factors that affect the interests of students of SMK are; the individual factor, economic factor, family factor, environmental factor, educational factor, and social factor.
