Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Pembelajaran Piano Iringan Musik Pop Sunda Oleh Henry Virgan” bertujuan untuk merumuskan model pembelajaran yang dikonstruksi dari proses pembelajaran piano iringan musik Pop Sunda oleh Virgan di Departemen Pendidikan Musik Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena kemampuan mengiringi sangat penting untuk dimiliki pendidik musik. Selain itu pembelajaran piano iringan musik Pop Sunda mempunyai relevansi dengan kebutuhan perkembangan musik Sunda di masyarakat. Dalam proses penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode post facto naturalistic case yang termasuk ke dalam penelitian formatif. Melalui hasil studi dokumen dan wawancara, peneliti menemukan karakteristik iringan dan pola iringan musik Pop Sunda yang dimainkan dalam piano, konsep pembelajarannya, pola kegiatan yang dilakukan atau prinsip reaksinya seperti apa, serta dampak dari proses pembelajaran piano iringan musik Pop Sunda bagi mahasiswa Departemen Pendidikan Musik Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Kata kunci : Pembelajaran piano iringan, musik Pop Sunda, model pembelajaran This research called “Learning Piano Accompaniment of Pop Sunda by Henry Virgan” is aimed to create a learning model based on the proses of learning piano accompaniment of Pop Sunda by Virgan, a profesor of the Deparment of Music Education Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). This research was conducted because accompaniment skills are very important for music educators to have. In addition, learning piano accompaniment of Pop Sunda has relevance to the needs of Sundanese music development. The research method used in this research is post facto naturalistic case, which is included the formative research methods. Through the result of document studies and interviews, the author found the characteristics and forms of piano accompaniment in Pop Sunda, the concept of learning, the types of activities carried out or the principle of the reaction, and the impact of the learning piano accompaniment of Pop Sunda in the Department of Music Education Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
