Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kenyataan bahwa selama ini pembelajaran IPS belum mampu membuat siswa mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran proyek (poject based learning) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kreatif siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain nonequivalen pre-test post-test control groups design. Sampel kelas VII.7 dan VII.8. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t (t-test) dengan bantuan SPSS versi 20.00 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan dalam kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran ceramah atas pengukuran awal (pre-test) dengan pengukuran akhir (post-test), terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan perlakuan metode pembelajaran proyek (project based learning) atas pengukuran awal (pre-test) dengan pengukuran akhir (post-test), terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang mendapat perlakuan metode pembelajaran proyek (project based learning) dibandingkan dengan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran ceramah pada pengukuran akhir (post-test). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran proyek (project based learning) memberi pengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode pembelajaran proyek (project based learning) dapat dijadikan metode pembelajaran alternatif bagi guru dalam menyempurnakan proses pembelajan IPS di sekolah untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Kata Kunci: Metode Pembelajaran Proyek (Project Based Learning), Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif This research was motivated by the fact that so far learning social studies could not lead the students to the creative thinking activity. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of project based learning to the improvement of student creative thinking ability. The method used in this research was a quasi experiment with nonequivalent pr-test post-test control groups design. The samples used were class VII.7 and VII.8. The instruments used were test of creative thinking ability. The research uses t-test to analyze the hypotheses that supported by SPSS windows version 20.00 programs. The results showed that, there were differences between students creative thinking ability in pre-test and post test result in control class when the teacher implement speech method; there were differences between students creative thinking ability in pre-test and post test result in experiment class after the teacher implement project based learning; from the post-test result, we can see that the students creative thinking ability in the experiment class that implement project based learning was higher than the students creative thinking ability in the control class that implement speech method. Based on the data analysis we can conclude that implementation of project based learning give some effects of the student creative thinking ability. Project based learning can be used as an alternative learning in social studies to develop students creative thinking ability. Keywords : Project Based Learning, Creative Thinking Ability
